A man trying to pay a fee using $2 bills was arrested, handcuffed and taken to jail after clerks at a Best Buy store questioned the currency’s legitimacy and called police.
According to an account in the Baltimore Sun, 57-year-old Mike Bolesta was shocked to find himself taken to the Baltimore County lockup in Cockeysville, Md., where he was handcuffed to a pole for three hours while the U.S. Secret Service was called to weigh in on the case. Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)- A Vancouver, WA man facing charges for firing his shotgun into the air to scare off would-be intruders says he simply acted on Vice President Joe Biden’s advice.
According to the AP, Jeffrey C. While on a hike with his 15-year old son, Grisham was approached by Officer Steve Ermis of the Temple PD.

I don’t know what holiday dinners are like at Michael Bloomberg’s house, but I suspect there’s an awful lot of picking at food while the windbag at the head of the table lectures the assembled guests about why he’s right and they’re all idiots. That’s the message I get from his pet Mayors Against Illegal Guns organization, which wants its loyal minions, if there are any, to sit down to their Thanksgiving feasts and immediately start fights with relatives they haven’t seen in a year about gun control. All you need is a handy list of tendentious talking points—and a shitload of patience from Cousin Bob, who rebuilds old pistols for fun and just wrapped himself around half a bottle of Jack Daniels. A 32-year-old UConn student has been arrested, accused of making threats against President Barack Obama and his immediate family.
Joshua Phillip Klimas, 32, of Coventry, was arrested yesterday on a federal criminal complaint.

J. Edgar Hoover’s FBI secretly monitored David Frost’s US program to keep tabs on his left-wing guests – and once even planted an undercover agent in his New York studio audience, according to the famed Brit talk show host’s FBI file, obtained by The Post.
Guests that got the feds’ attention included Johnson-era Attorney General Ramsey Clark, economist John Kenneth Galbraith and black nationalist Stokely Carmichael among others, according to the 45-page dossier obtained under the Freedom of Information Act. The school sent out an alert around 2:40 p.m. The alert reads:

MANHATTAN – It was a packed courtroom on Tuesday for the hearing of Ernie Tertelgte, a Manhattan man who says he’s being wrongly prosecuted for trying to feed himself.
Tertelgte, 52 years old, was arrested on Monday and is accused of fishing without a license and then resisting arrest.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korean officials detained an 85-year-old American veteran of the Korean War last month as he sat in a plane set to leave the country, the man’s son said.
A uniformed North Korean officer boarded the plane on Oct. 26 and asked Merrill Newman, a tourist from Palo Alto, California, for his passport before telling a stewardess that Newman had to leave the plane, the son, Jeffrey Newman, said Wednesday. TOKYO (AP) — A volcanic eruption has raised an island in the seas to the far south of Tokyo, the Japanese coast guard and earthquake experts said.
Advisories from the coast guard and the Japan Meteorological Agency said the islet is about 200 meters (660 feet) in diameter. The governing council for Hawaii (or Big) Island Tuesday banned biotech companies from operating on the island while barring growth of genetically modified organisms.
The Hawaii County Council approved Bill 113 by a vote of 6-3, which would mandate a possible 30 days in jail and up to a $1,000 fine for any violator of the ban on growing genetically modified organisms (GMOs) on Big Island, officially known as Hawaii Island, the largest and southernmost of the Hawaiian state. A new island has appeared in the Pacific. A submarine eruption just off Nishino-Shima Island Japan has erupted for the first time in 40 years. The Japanese Navy noticed the explosions as boiling lava met sea water giving rise to plumes of steam and ash.
Almost 7,000 miles away in Mexico, the Colima volcano blew its top after a period of relative calm. A steam and ash cloud rose two miles into the sky and the grumbling of the mountain could be heard in towns a few miles away.
