NASA astronaut has posted the photo of the biggest 2014 storm on Earth from the International Space Station. Typhoon Vongfong is heading to Japan coast and is as powerful as the Haiyan storm that killed thousands of people in 2013.

As of Thursday Vongfong winds were as strong as 105 knots (194.46 km/h) and gust up to 150 knots (277.8 km/h), with wave height reaching 15.25 m. It is expected to be to 260 km/h in the coming days. Because wantonly perpetuating anxiety and fear is the perceived calling card of major news outlets (especially on a slooooow Friday), NBC New York brings you another Ebola scaremongering tale: A Vegas-bound flight from JFK was held on the ground after a passenger vomited in-flight. Had the passenger been to Africa recently? Yes he had. Was the logical assumption that he’d just splashed Ebola all over the damn plane? You bet.

Firefighters and CDC officials met the passenger at the gate, where he was immediately quarantined. A “thorough assessment” followed, and it was determined the passenger did not have Ebola. As I was thinking about Ferguson, MO. and the possibility of massive protests this weekend along with all the other news that is upon us right now this very moment, I started thinking about that letter Eric Frein supposedly left behind about the details on the night of the shooting.

I believe that not one of us here (including myself) and on other sites that commented about this letter besides it being a BS story caught what Mr. Frein actually said in this letter.

Have I ever said I hate unions? Rhetorically asked because the answer is I’ve said it many times and this is just one of many examples of why!

Blacks are still up in arms over the shooting death of a black criminal by a white police officer. They don’t care that the large youth had just held up a convenience store. They don’t care that evidence shows that he viciously attacked the police officer leaving the officer with a complete blowout fracture of his eye socket. They don’t care that the officer repeatedly told Michael Brown to stop, but Brown continued to attack the officer forcing the officer to shoot him. They don’t care that the autopsy showed that Brown was shot four times in the arm from front to back in the officer’s attempt to defend himself. They don’t care that Brown’s companion lied like Obama about what happened. FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Nearly a year into legalized sales of recreational pot, the two main candidates for Colorado governor mulled the idea of repealing the law in a 9NEWS debate Thursday.

Republican challenger Bob Beauprez (a former congressman) advocated for a statewide vote on repealing the legalized sale of cannabis.
