In Melbourne, Florida, a 22-year-old by the name Phoenix Low was caught with an open alcohol container late Saturday night. As he was approached by a police officer and informed that he was breaking the law, Phoenix apparently became combative and ignored the officer’s instructions. As the officer tried to arrest Phoenix, he remained defiant and continued to ignore his commands. WIMBERLEY, Texas — Residents and officials faced an unprecedented wall of water during flash floods that crushed homes and swept away families over the weekend in Central Texas.

Rescue crews on Tuesday continued searching the length of the Blanco River for 13 people who remained missing, including a family of eight vacationing in a single home washed away, authorities said. According to an earlier NPR report noting veteran suicide statistics, “The VA is trying to help with a program that offers gun locks to veterans for free. A Chinese state-owned newspaper said on Monday that “war is inevitable” between China and the United States over the South China Sea unless Washington stops demanding Beijing halt the building of artificial islands in the disputed waterway.

Noted economist Martin Armstrong has warned that the outcome of the Tibble v. The upside-down American flag upset one shopper in Alabama, who took to social media. Al Sharpton is demanding nationalized police over the Cleveland incident in which a white police officer was acquitted of killing two black offenders. The Revolutionary Communist Party is out in the streets of Cleveland with other paid protesters in the Marxist-driven and Obama-supported police brutality protests.

A federal appeals court refused Tuesday to lift a temporary hold on President Barack Obama’s executive action that could shield as many as 5 million immigrants illegally living in the U.S. from deportation.

The U.S. Justice Department had asked the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to reverse a Texas judge who agreed to temporarily block the president’s plan in February, after 26 states filed a lawsuit alleging Obama’s action was unconstitutional.
