China – Tens of Thousands of residents of the southwestern county of Linshui gathered in the morning and marched about 3km. Photos posted by the protesters on social media also showed violent attacks by a police tactical team(SWAT)and the resistance that followed lasted all day and well into the night.

New York City police chief Bill Bratton is worried about ISIS. So worried, in fact, that he’s going to assign 450 New York Police Department cops to fight terrororism that may come from the Islamic State.

“We need to be very concerned about terrorism … The significantly increased threat from ISIS using social media to recruit people not only to go to Syria to fight, but encouraging people … to attack police, to attack government officials, to basically brainwash them under their screwed-up ideology. MyFoxChicago: A man was killed and at least 39 other people — including an 81-year-old woman — were wounded in shootings across Chicago between Friday afternoon and early Sunday.

About midnight Saturday, Ronnie Montgomery, 24, was found on the sidewalk in the 1300 block of West Hastings, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He had been shot in the chest and shoulder. HONOLULU (AP) — A U.S. military plane crashed and caught fire as it tried to land during training exercises in Hawaii, killing one Marine, injuring 21 other people and sending black smoke billowing into the sky.

Their injuries ranged from critical to minor, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific spokesman Capt. Alex Lim said. BAGHDAD (AP) — Islamic State militants likely killed up to 500 Iraqi civilians and soldiers and forced 8,000 people to flee from their homes as they captured the Iraqi city of Ramadi, a provincial official said Monday, while the extremists went door-to-door looking for policemen and pro-government tribesmen.

Iraq’s government and Iranian-backed Shiite militias vowed to mount a counter-offensive and reclaim Ramadi, the capital of the overwhelmingly Sunni Anbar province. Iran’s Defense Minister Gen. In a surprise announcement Monday, the White House said, effective immediately, the federal government will no longer fund or provide to police a number of military-grade weapons: armored vehicles that run on a tracked system instead of wheels, weaponized aircraft or vehicles, firearms or ammunition of .50-caliber or higher, grenade launchers, bayonets or camouflage uniforms.
