The Republican and Democratic parties finally have something in common: most Americans don’t like them.

A new Gallup poll finds that 37% have a favorable view of the Republicans and just 39% like the Democrats. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to then deduce that an overwhelming majority of Americans don’t have a love affair with the two major political parties in the United States.   Continue reading “No Love Lost: Americans Down on Both Major Political Parties”

Greetings and Salutations, readers!  My Nome de Guerre in the battle for truth and objective journalism is Jeremiah Johnson.  I hope to pique your interest with a Montana issue that, regardless of the outcome, will have severe ramifications and set a precedent nationwide.  This article covers the CSKT (Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes) proposed water-rights compact that threatens to take away the private ownership of water for roughly 100,000 Montanans.  Should this measure pass, it can set a precedent for the courts throughout the United States by the Federal Government to deprive us of our water rights.   Continue reading “FedGov Moves To Seize Water Rights From 100,000 Montanans: “All Surface Water And Wells””

Peshawar: A Pakistani lawyer under death threats for defending a doctor who helped CIA agents hunt al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was shot dead on Tuesday, police said, and two militant groups claimed responsibility.

Samiullah Afridi represented Dr Shakil Afridi, who was jailed in 2012 for 33 years for running a fake vaccination campaign believed to have helped the U.S. intelligence agency track down bin Laden. That sentence was overturned in 2013 and the doctor is now in jail awaiting a new trial.   Continue reading “Lawyer for Pakistan doctor who helped CIA find bin Laden shot dead”

Though numerous economists have now spoken out that the Transpacific Partnership (TPP) is a loser for the average American, President Obama is determined to see the TPP rule. Now the White House has gone so far as to demand that briefings before Congress on the controversial trade deal be classified.

House Democrats have been told they can attend a briefing on TPP tomorrow with Labor Secretary Thomas Perez and U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman on the condition that they treat it as classified and bring only one staffer who must be “active Secret-level or high clearance” compliant with House security rules.   Continue reading “Classified White House Briefing On TPP Angers House Democrats”

In yet another sign that Washington is keen on preserving the sanctity of sovereign nations’ right to choose peaceful democracy over violent tyranny, the US is set to use Poland as a staging ground in an effort to prove (because some folks weren’t sure) that despite the UK’s inexplicable reluctance to engage in an arms race with Russia and China, the US can still blow things up at the drop of a dime. Here’s The State Dept with more:    Continue reading “Washington Retaliates: Shifts Anti-Missile Battery Into Poland, Begins Rapid-Response Drills”
