President Trump on Tuesday selected Neil Gorsuch to succeed Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court, setting up a nasty confirmation battle with Senate Democrats stung over the GOP blockade against former President Obama’s pick.

Trump named Gorsuch, a well-respected conservative who sits on the Colorado-based 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, after a drama-packed day that resembled the president’s former reality show “The Apprentice.”   Continue reading “Trump taps Neil Gorsuch for Supreme Court”

There is nowhere run from and nowhere to hide from corrupt government. Planet earth is infested with those who abuse the power of government.

A recently released report by Transparency International (TI) measured people’s perceptions of government corruption in 176 nations, confirming what most of us seem to already know: the vast majority of people around the world live with government corruption as a normal feature of everyday life.   Continue reading “International Survey Reveals 85% of the World Lives Under Political Corruption”

If ever there was a more pertinent threat to individual liberty and the God-given freedom of parents to care for their children how they best see fit, it is the entity known as “Child Protective Services” (CPS), which all across the country has ripped apart the lives of thousands of families. But an Arkansas family that was victimized by the shady and thoroughly corrupt CPS agency in their home state could soon see justice if a landmark lawsuit they recently filed is successful.   Continue reading “Homeschool dad sues federal government for kidnapping his 7 children… medical tyranny run amok”

Throughout the campaign Donald Trump made a number of promises which resulted in cheers from his supporters. Now that he has taken reign as our 45th President, we will track just how far these promises actually go. In no way do we want to see many of these promises come to being. Instead, as our name states, we are committed to bringing light to the many promises Donald Trump told on the campaign trail. This new, special feature of Crooks and Liars will do that bigly.   Continue reading “Donald Trump’s promises”

bert Cameron drove his pickup truck toward the Texas-Mexico border, past cotton and sugar cane fields, up to a 20-foot-tall metal and concrete border fence — and passed right through a gap in the barrier wide enough for a tractor-trailer.

Because of international treaty and flood zone requirements, the fence is set back from the winding Rio Grande, and since it divides some U.S. properties, the fence is broken up by gaps Texas residents use to traverse their land. Smugglers use them too.

Having already succeeded in delaying the confirmation of Tom Price and Steven Mnuchin, when Democrats boycotted a committee vote which had a minimum quorum requirement, moments ago Senate Democrats succeeded in stalling – if only temporarily – another confirmation when they used a procedural move on Tuesday afternoon to stall committee vote, this time on Jeff Sessions’ nomination to become US Attorney General amid last night’s controversy in which Trump fired the acting Attorney General Sally Yates for insubordination.

New York Mayor Bill DeBlasio told CNN that he approves of the idea of shielding from deportation any illegal alien arrested for drunk driving.

During an interview on CNN’s State of the Union, host Jake Tapper pointed out to Mayor DeBlasio that the City of New York refuses to cooperate with the federal government to deport illegal aliens who have been convicted of drunk driving and grand larceny. Tapper went on to ask why the city is so quick to shield such dangerous criminals from deportation.   Continue reading “NYC Mayor DeBlasio: OK to Shield Illegal Alien Drunk Drivers from Deportation”

In an amusing twist on the “fiat vs digital” money debate, a former Federal Reserve employee who tried to fuse the two, was sentenced to 12 months’ probation and fined $5,000 for installing unauthorized software on a Fed server to connect with a bitcoin network, the Office of the Fed’s Inspector General said.

According to the WSJ, Nicholas Berthaume, who worked as a network systems communications analyst at the Fed board in Washington, installed software so he could connect to an online bitcoin network to earn bitcoins, i.e. bitcoin mining, the Fed’s inspector general said. The software was in place from about March 2012 to June 2014, according to a court document. It was not clear how many thousands of a bitcoin he managed to earn this way.    Continue reading “Former Fed Employee Sentenced For Running Bitcoin Mining Software On A Fed Computer”

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) – The state of California is studying ways to suspend financial transfers to Washington after the Trump administration threatened to withhold federal money from sanctuary cities, KPIX 5 has learned.

Officials are looking for money that flows through Sacramento to the federal government that could be used to offset the potential loss of billions of dollars’ worth of federal funds if President Trump makes good on his threat to punish cities and states that don’t cooperate with federal agents’ requests to turn over undocumented immigrants, a senior government source in Sacramento said.   Continue reading “California Could Cut Off Feds In Response To Trump Threats”

The Kabbalah (“reception”), is a series of books of magic and mysticism. The canon has not been strictly defined although the rabbinic consensus names the Zohar as the most important volume. Another book, Sefer Yetzirah is a guide to black magic in Judaism.

Zoharic studies in English have been advanced exponentially by the recent publication of Daniel Matt’s uncensored translation of all of the volumes traditionally associated with the Zohar.   Continue reading “Judaism: Satanism, Sorcery & Black Magic”

The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 upheld the national origins quota system established by the Immigration Act of 1924, reinforcing this controversial system of immigrant selection.

It also ended Asian exclusion from immigrating to the United States and introduced a system of preferences based on skill sets and family reunification. Situated in the early years of the Cold War, the debate over the revision of U.S. immigration law demonstrated a division between those interested in the relationship between immigration and foreign policy, and those linking immigration to concerns over national security. The state legislatures in Connecticut and in California appear to be deliberately heading into “INSURRECTION” against the United States and the feds may have to send in troops to remove both State Governments over the issue of illegal aliens.

In Connecticut, Hartford, New Haven and Williamantic are “sanctuary cities,” a designation that signifies municipal resistance to some federal immigration laws.

Now a state lawmaker is proposing that all of Connecticut declare itself a “sanctuary state.”  Continue reading “Connecticut and California Heading Into INSURRECTION over Illegal Aliens”

Flying a large “Trump” flag, a mysterious convoy of military vehicles rolled down Interstate 65 through Louisville on Sunday morning. But nobody is claiming it.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit (Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia) ruled last week that an individual carrying concealed gives up essential Fourth Amendment rights under the presumption that since he is armed, he is also dangerous.

The ruling issued on Monday, January 23, United States v. Robinson, reversed an earlier decision by the court’s three-judge panel, claiming that the Supreme Court, in two relevant decisions, concluded that “armed and dangerous” meant “armed and therefore dangerous” rather than “armed” as a fact and “dangerous” based on reasonable judgments surrounding the case.   Continue reading “Court Rules That Those Carrying Concealed Are Presumed to Be Dangerous”

The theme of this morning’s news updates from Washington is additional clarity emerging, rather than meaningful changes in the field. But this clarity is enough to give us a sense of what we just saw happen, and why it happened the way it did.

I’ll separate what’s below into the raw news reports and analysis; you may also find these two pieces from yesterday (heavily referenced below) to be useful.   Continue reading “Trial Balloon for a Coup?”
