WASHINGTON (Reuters) – In a stinging rebuke to President Donald Trump, the House of Representatives on Tuesday brushed aside veto threats and passed legislation to terminate the emergency he declared at the U.S.-Mexico border in order to build a wall there.

By a vote of 245-182, the House passed the resolution, setting up a vote in the Republican-controlled Senate where the resolution’s chances were slimmer, but seemed to be improving.   Continue reading “House passes bill rejecting Trump’s border wall emergency”

While the United States has done everything in its power to turn Syria into Libya 2.0, it appears the U.S. is now attempting to turn Venezuela into Libya 3.0. Using many of the same tactics utilized in Syria and Libya, the US is utilizing political pressure, sanctions, and the establishment of a parallel government to weaken and overthrow the Maduro government in Venezuela. Now, however, there is evidence that the U.S. is going further and adding the arming of “rebels” to its toolkit in South America.    Continue reading “NC Based Airline Implicated In Shipping Arms To “Rebels” In Venezuela”

The White House made clear Monday that if the House Democrats’ push to criminalize private gun sales somehow reached the president’s desk, it would be vetoed.

On Monday, Breitbart News reported that the Democrats plan to vote this week on H.R.8, the legislation criminalizing private gun sales. H.R.8 would not have stopped a single mass shooter from the last decade, but it would criminalize a friend who sells a gun to a lifelong friend without first getting government permission.   Continue reading “White House to Veto Democrat Bill Criminalizing Private Gun Sales”

Earlier, a media investigation found that housing for military families at bases across the US was plagued by serious deficiencies, including faulty construction and poor maintenance, despite the hundreds of millions of dollars paid to private contractors to manage the estates.

Troops and family members at Fort Hood, Texas face deplorable housing conditions and issues including everything from infestations of snakes and cockroaches, to major housing defects such as to lead paint and mold, the Austin American-Statesman has reported, citing a list of public complaints heard at a recent a town hall-style meeting at the base. Most of the food that we eat makes a long and tortuous journey to our tables, often over great distances or from unknown origins.

Whether it’s factory-farmed eggs, processed chicken, fresh fruit from the west coast, seafood from the east coast, or a glass of wine or ice-cold beer, we often assume that what we’re eating is generally healthy or at least won’t harm us if enjoyed in moderation.  Continue reading “Toxic Weed Killer Found in Almost All Beer and Wine Brands … Including Organic”

A survey on cannabidiol (CBD) usage found that women are more likely than men to use CBD; and once they start using it they quit traditional forms of big pharma painkillers like Tylenol, ibuprofen, and Vicodin, Forbes reported.

Brightfield Group, a cannabis market research organization, and HelloMD, an online community that brings together doctors and cannabis patients, studied 2,400 of HelloMD’s community of 150,000 members by monitoring their usage of CBD products and their overall effectiveness.   Continue reading “Study: More Than Half Quit Using Prescription Drugs After Using Cannabis and CBD Products”

A shocking new report from the Hawaii State Commission on the Status of Women paints a disturbing picture of law enforcement and their role in sex trafficking. The report found that instead of preventing child and adult sex trafficking, many police officers are participating in it.

The report is titled “Sex Trafficking in Hawaii: The Stories of Survivors,” which detailed the testimonials from multiple victims. One particularly disturbing part of the report was the fact that almost half of all the victims interviewed reported that police officers participated in their abuse and victimization.   Continue reading “Study Finds Nearly Half of Child and Adult Sex Trafficking Victims Were Abused by Police”

St. Paul, MN — When 24-year-old Terrell Wilson was arrested on April 13, 2016, he never thought an accusation of swiping someone’s cellphone at a night club would end up with him being held down by a half dozen officers—and savagely tortured—while in handcuffs. But that is exactly what happened. Now, after nearly three years, the disturbing video has been released and we’ve learned the fate of the cop who doled out most of the punishment.  Continue reading “‘You Ain’t Seen Excessive Force Yet!’: Cops Torture Handcuffed Man for No Reason”
