The Trump White House is reportedly reviewing a Labor Department rule that would give states the power to force people to pass a drug test before they can receive unemployment benefits, ignoring protests that such screenings would amount to demeaning and unconstitutional invasions of privacy.  Continue reading “‘Degrading’ and ‘Unconstitutional’: Trump Reviewing Rule That Would Allow Drug Testing for Unemployment Benefits”

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has been churning out plan after plan in her bid to be the Democrat’s nominee for president in 2020.  Most of her plans are wildly ill-considered and untenable, but her latest roll-out on “gun violence prevention” is positively bone-chilling.  Continue reading “Elizabeth Warren plans include using tax code to deprive law-abiding citizens of 2nd Amendment rights”

President Trump is set to save American taxpayers billions of dollars as his administration announces a new rule on Monday that will essentially ban welfare-dependent legal immigrants from permanently resettling in the United States.

A new regulation set to be published by the Trump administration will ensure that legal immigrants would be less likely to secure a permanent residency in the U.S. if they have used any forms of welfare in the past, including using subsidized healthcare services, food stamps, and public housing.  Continue reading “Trump Ending Welfare-Dependent Immigration, Saving Taxpayers Billions”

End of the American Dream – by Michael Snyder

Did Jeffrey Epstein commit suicide or was he murdered?  This is a question that is being debated by millions of Americans right now, and without a doubt this is the biggest story of this news cycle.  Unfortunately, the mainstream media is already dropping the ball.  Instead of going wherever the evidence leads them, there already seems to be a tremendous effort to marginalize any explanations for his death other than “suicide”.  And it may turn out that “suicide” is where the evidence takes us, but while things are unclear we should not be afraid to ask the hard questions.  Continue reading “7 Unanswered Questions About Jeffrey Epstein’s Death That The Mainstream Media Needs To Be Talking About”

HONG KONG (Reuters) – Hong Kong’s airport halted flights on Monday, blaming demonstrators for the disruption, while China said the anti-government protests that have swept the city over the past two months had begun to show “sprouts of terrorism”.

The airport authority said it was working with airlines to resume flights from 6 a.m. on Tuesday, but the developments raised the stakes sharply after a weekend of skirmishes during which both activists and police toughened their stances.  Continue reading “Hong Kong airport grinds to halt; China likens protests to terrorism”

The quiet of a summer Sunday afternoon was broken at Memorial City Mall when a masked man jumped on a food court table and proclaimed he would kill himself before he threw down an unknown object, leading hundreds of panicked shoppers and store employees to rush for the exits.

Only two people — a mother and her 16-year-old son — suffered minor ankle and leg injuries in the crowds, police said. The suspect remains at large and could face a charge of terroristic threats, police said. He was only described as a white man in his teens or early 20s.  Continue reading “Masked man sparks hysteria at Memorial City Mall”

Everyone hates parking tickets. Not everyone, however, is an information security researcher with a mischievous side and a freshly minted vanity license plate reading “NULL.”

That would be Droogie (his handle, if that’s not obvious), a presenter at this year’s DEF CON hacking conference in Las Vegas and man with a very specific problem: He’s on the receiving end of thousands of dollars worth of tickets that aren’t his. But don’t tell that to the DMV.  Continue reading “He tried to prank the DMV. Then his vanity license plate backfired big time.”

The state and its enforcers are not known for their common sense and proficient use of discretion. Instead, they are known for the opposite. An example of this lack of common sense and discretion was evident this week when an innocent family was thrown off of a public beach for shading their young children with a small half-moon tent.

Courtney Jackson, owner of Claws Nail & Beauty Bar in St. Catharines, Ontario, took her family to the beach this week on her only day off. Instead of having a relaxing time and soaking up the beauty of Crystal Beach, she was humiliated and threatened by police who forced her and her entire family to get off the beach — all over a tiny tent.  Continue reading “Hero Cops ‘Protect’ the Public By Kicking Family Off Beach for Shading Kids with a Tent”
