The United States government is unable to account for nearly $716 million in weapons it gave to various Syrian groups during the war against the Islamic State, according to a Department of Defense audit. The weapons were procured under the Counter Islamic State of Iraq and Syria Train and Equip Funds (CTEF) program, which was administered by the US Pentagon in 2017 and 2018. A gunman and five innocents are dead following a shooting near Molson Coors headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Update 7:40 pm ET — Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales held a press conference in which he reported that the number of victims in the Molson Coors attack stood at five. The five deceased were all employees at the facility. Morales noted that the the gunman, a 51-year-old male, was also deceased; that he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
