WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden’s $1.85 trillion social spending bill includes a provision that, if it becomes law, would mark the first time the federal government has offered targeted support in response to the decline of local news.

The help would come in the form of a payroll tax credit for companies that employ eligible local journalists. The measure would allow newspapers, digital news outlets and radio and television stations to claim a tax credit of $25,000 the first year and $15,000 the next four years for up to 1,500 journalists.  Continue reading “Biden bill would give local news outlets ‘shot in the arm’”

Suspected witness tampering is uncovered in the Kyle Rittenhouse case as star witness Gaige Grosskreutz, who aimed his gun at Rittenhouse, had charges dropped by the prosecutor only days before being a witness in the case.

We reported on Gaige Grosskreutz multiple times since last August when he had his arm nearly blown off by Kyle Rittenhouse after he pointed his gun at Kyle.  For some reason, Grosskreutz has not been charged as a felon in possession of a firearm and attempting to kill Kyle Rittenhouse, even though at the time of the event, Grosskreutz was a felon.  Continue reading “Potential Witness Tampering as Gaige Grosskreutz, the Felon Who Aimed His Gun at Kyle Rittenhouse, Had Two Prior Charges Dismissed by Prosecutors Only Days Before Trial”

At a Calaveras Unified School District (CUSD) board meeting Tuesday night, the board voted 5-0 against upholding the state-issued COVID-19 vaccine mandate for students and staff.

The five board members voted on an action put forth by board member Bryan Porath to “not enforce, support, or comply” with the mandate, which requires all students and school staff to be vaccinated by July of next year, following FDA approval of the vaccine for the child’s specific age group.

Israeli‘s state-run defense contractor, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), announced a new family of electronic warfare systems on Thursday, capable of detecting and disrupting different threats at the same time.

Known as the Scorpius family of weapons, this ‘revolutionary’ system does not send out missiles to disarm drones, ships, radar systems or other missiles, but rather it sends out focused beams that interfere with electromagnetic spectrums. One hour after U.S. government data showed on Wednesday that American inflation had soared to a 31-year high, President Joe Biden vowed to fight the surge as “a top priority.”

Key to his administration’s response, Biden said in a statement, would be addressing the rising cost of energy — what he described as “the largest share of the increase in prices.” He promised his National Economic Council would explore how to reduce prices.  Continue reading “Consensus Eludes Biden Team Weighing Fuel Price Action for Weeks”

This was the second year our World Economic Conference was unable to bring in our staff from China, SE Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Our staff had to appear by video while the Biden Administration allows unlimited UNVACCINATED people from south of the Border free access, gives them money, and secretly flies them into Republican states. One such person murdered a local Floridian which brought his scheme to the surface. Not only are these people not vaccinated against this fake pandemic, but the most serious diseases from Polio to Smallpox also devastated South America.
