Design A Sheriff’s Vehicle Competition

Pima County Sheriff’s Department

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is calling on employees and the public for design suggestions for our next generation of patrol vehicles. The winning design concept will be applied to NEW fleet additions and will be limited to our current cost of outfitting vehicles. Designs can be submitted to pcsdpio@sheriff.pima.gov through 04/27/17. At that time Sheriff Napier will narrow the choices to a final few and we will open up selection to a vote by the public online running from May 4, 2017 through May 11, 2017. The winner will be notified May 15, 2017.

These designs will be judged based on the following criteria:

1.  Safety- markings must optimize visibility
2.  Economical- markings must be affordable to re-create as vehicle wrap
3.  Distinction- clearly identify the vehicle as a PCSD car
4.  Must meet print requirements to be eligible

Printing Requirements:

1.  Photos must be 300dpi (these will need to be VERY large dimensions)
2.  Vector graphics are preferred; fonts will need to be converted to outlines or supplied with submission.
3.  Colors must be ready for CMYK color process. CMYK color code:

  • green – 80/44/84/42
  • yellow – 7/35/100/0

4.  Submissions preferred in their native format and PDF

  1. Oh boy!
    (Sarc)
With prizes like that , people must be knocking the door off its hinges to submit their designs

      1. By the way; they didn’t specify exactly WHAT the “training with SWAT” prize entails, but as things stand today, if I were the winner I would be careful you were not the one SWAT was training ON. Can’t you just picture that scenario?

  2. Maaaan, mine would be so cool. ..with grenade launchers, and and flamethrowers, and gun ports, and sound weapons, and electric cattle prods that come up though the seats, AND made completely of lexan so we could see it all happen when they use it on themselves!

Did I read the contest instructions correctly? Sounds too good to be true. .
