Demand localities become sanctuaries
(Washington Times) – Advocates for illegal immigrants sounded the alarm Wednesday morning as Donald Trump was poised to claim the White House, vowing to resist an expected crackdown and calling on localities to declare themselves sanctuary cities, resisting the federal government.
They also demanded President Obama halt all deportations for the rest of his tenure.
“Immigrants are declaring a state of urgency and resilience. Over the coming weeks, our families and community members will need to tap into the incredible strength that brought us to this country and which we use to survive,” said Cristina Jimenez, co-founder of United We Dream, an advocacy group.
She also called Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents “racist.”
“All people with love in our hearts are angered and disappointed tonight and pledge to resist mass deportation,” she said. “ICE and CBP have proven themselves to be agents of racism and agents of hate.”
Mr. Trump has promised to triple the number of deportation officers and to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border to try to get a handle on illegal immigration. And he’s said he will deport more people from within the U.S. — sparking fear in illegal immigrants who had hoped instead for a path to citizenship.

Since Trump was elected on the promise of sweeping this garbage out of here, hopefully the American public that voted for him will demand that he keeps at least one of his promises.

we better realize we are being punked by these illegals and NOT outsmarted and take the action required to drive them to the four corners of the earth back where they came from.
I don’t know why it’s so hard to get rid of illegal immigrants. It’s really simple you receive no benefits whatsoever if you are not a citizen, if you are found to have taken benefits as an illegal; all real property is seized to repay for those benefits and deported. Now if you are an employer of illegal aliens you will be fined 500k a day per illegal and all your property is subject to seizure. Now I understand that certain industries require that cheap labor, like vegetable growers etc. For them a guest worker program is set up and those workers need to be housed by their employers and their wages taxed appropriately. Politicians would support sanctuary cities need to be arrested and fined for abetting criminals. For those who would brand me a racist, I’m the son of LEGAL Mexican immigrants and 100% proud to have served this great nation and to have been born an American.
