After Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Ohio Gov. John Kasich suspended their 2016 presidential campaigns after a devastating loss in the Indiana Republican primary in early May, the then-front-runner of the Republican Party, Donald Trump, became the presumptive nominee of the GOP.
Since then, many Republicans and prominent conservatives have stated they vow to never vote for or support Trump — beginning the “Never Trump” movement.
When Speaker of the House Paul Ryan stated that he is “not ready” to endorse Trump, the presumptive nominee quickly scheduled a meeting with Ryan to talk about 2016. Other GOP leaders met with Trump when he was in D.C., too.
Sen. Orrin Hatch — a Moderate, Establishment-siding Republican from Utah — shortly after the meeting endorsed Donald Trump for president, according to Reuters:
“Now that Donald Trump is the presumptive nominee, I will do what I can to help him run a successful campaign.”
This could perhaps start a domino effect in the GOP — where Establishment members begin to come to grips with Donald Trump’s candidacy, and eventually endorse the real estate mogul and presumptive GOP nominee.
Even Arizona Sen. John McCain has slammed the “Never Trump” movement — who, at one time, criticized the then-front-runner of the Republican Party.

I didn’t know there was anyone in Utah capable of an independent thought outside Romney’s dictums.
Yep, the “knob-polishing” has only just begun. I predict it will become so nauseating by November, the voting booths will have emergency barf-buckets in them! lol
Between Mitt ( Dog on the roof of car) Romney and Orrin (May God strike you down with lightening) Hatch, those people in Utah know how to pick ’em. lol
