A federal appeals court has blocked PennEast pipeline company from condemning state-owned land for its proposed 116-mile long line that would ship Marcellus Shale gas from northeast Pennsylvania to New Jersey.

Four big U.S. retailers — Walmart, Kroger, CVS and Walgreens — recently asked civilian customers to leave their guns at home.

The Great Recession

Two weeks ago a former Federal Reserve board member and bank president, William Dudley, wrote an editorial that encouraged the Fed use its powers to defeat Donald Trump’s second bid for the US presidency. I don’t recall choosing presidents as being listed in the Fed’s two mandates — controlling inflation while maximizing employment.

The National Rifle Association sued San Francisco on Monday over the city’s recent declaration that the gun-rights lobby is a “domestic terrorist organization.”

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, accuses city officials of violating the gun lobby’s free speech rights for political reasons and says the city is seeking to blacklist anyone associated with the NRA. Fall color will likely reach its peak later than usual this year across a large portion of the United States, and the weather is to blame.

By mid-September, some parts of the Rockies and northern tier often begin to see the early stages of fall color, eventually reaching a late-September peak in the Rockies’ highest elevations, northern MInnesota and northern New England. A former top official in the Federal Emergency Management Agency was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly taking bribes from the head of a company who received $1.8 billion in federal contracts to repair Puerto Rico’s power grid after Hurricane Maria devastated the island in 2017.

In Australia, they want to make it a criminal act with a penalty of 2 years in prison for purchasing anything with more than $10,000 in cash. Australia is really going off the deep end. They are desperately trying to eliminate all cash and are forcing people to have only bank accounts so they can tax them as they like. This ensures that when there are bank failures, they can just confiscate the people’s money to save the bankers. Australia began as a penal colony, and they seem to retain that idea that the people are really criminals in their minds and are not entitled to their own assets.
