CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Denouncing a Virginia town’s draconian lockdown measures as a clear example of a dysfunctional, excessive government that overreaches, overspends, and is out of sync with the Constitution, The Rutherford Institute has asked a federal court to hold government officials responsible for adopting costly security protocols lacking in common sense and intended to chill First Amendment activity. Western civilization has brought us stirring works of art and beautiful forms of music. It has brought us the concept of representative democracy in which every person is created equal and has equal rights before the law, which has freed countless people from the tyrannical regimes of unelected bureaucrats.
Inventors in the West have been responsible for the creation of the telephone, the discovery of electricity, the development of space travel, and incredible advances in medicine. Our modern technological culture would not exist without Western society, and the world would be a much darker and more impoverished place if Western thinkers had never transformed their dreams into reality. First, in 2015, there was SB277, a bill that was passed into law by the CA state legislature and signed by California Governor Jerry Brown—fascists all. Under the guise of protecting children’s health, the law canceled all vaccine exemptions except one issued by a medical doctor. But “the note from the doctor” was just a temporary stopgap and diversion away from the bottom-line agenda: vaccinate all kids and put the practice of vaccination into the hands of the State—not individual doctors. Making this into law is the job of SB276, a new CA bill now up for consideration. Continue reading “The little fascists of California”

An unusually large earthquake just hit the west coast. According to the USGS, a magnitude 4.6 earthquake that was centered directly on a fault line happened approximately 221 kilometers west of Ferndale, California on Friday. Fortunately it was far enough away from shore that no major damage was caused. But if this was just a foreshock for a larger event that is still to come, then there is definitely reason to be concerned. Scientists tell us that California is way overdue for the “Big One”, and as you will see below, when it finally arrives it could potentially be the worst cataclysm in American history up to this point. Bossier City, LA — A police officer from the Bossier City Police Department was arrested in December for filming an unspeakable act with an animal. Officer Terry Yetman, 38, has been charged with multiple counts of sexual abuse of animals—and he produced the evidence himself. Now, however, it appears that one of his animal victims was his own police K9. Over 20,000 people have since signed a petition for his prosecution. The Trump administration has agreed to allow approximately 2,700 children living in Central America to be reunited with their parents in the United States under a court settlement announced on Friday, according to court documents.
