The Texas House on Thursday joined the Senate in voting to call for an Article V Convention of States, making Texas the 11th of the 34 states needed to call a constitutional convention to rein in the power of the federal government.

In his State of the State address in January, Gov. Greg Abbott made the call for a Convention of States one of four emergency items. On its passage, the governor tweeted, “BOOM. Earlier in the day, Trump delayed his trip to New York and his meeting with Turnbull to await the results of a vote in the U.S. House to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. WEB Notes: This is slight of hand. Months ago we had posts how the US was trying to setup “safe zones” in Syria. If Russia leads that then all is well, rather than the US which would cause more commotion on the world’s stage. The point is they have a deal with Syria no less to setup safe zones. These are big wins for the globalists.

A program to be rolled out at Emory University this fall pledges to pay “100% of demonstrated financial need for undergraduate Undocumented Students (with or without DACA) who are admitted as first-year, first-degree-seeking students,” campus officials state online.

Late last week, President Donald Trump told CBS News that domestic surveillance of American citizens should the “No. 1” topic of inquiry until we can find out “what the hell is going on” with it. Also late last week, the National Security Agency — the federal government’s 60,000-person-strong domestic spying agency — announced that it would voluntarily hold back on its more aggressive uses of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

That section permits the NSA to capture communications between foreigners and Americans without a warrant from any court, even though the NSA has its own secret court that has granted well over 99 percent of applications for spying brought to it.  Continue reading “More Spying, More Lying”

Family members of three victims of the December 2015 shooting rampage in San Bernardino, California, have sued Facebook, Google and Twitter, claiming that the companies permitted Islamic State to flourish on social media.

Apple CEO Tim Cook announced Wednesday that his company is investing $1 billion in the creation of US manufacturing jobs.

Speaking to Mad Money host Jim Cramer on CNBC, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that the company would be creating a $1 billion fund to promote advanced manufacturing jobs across America. “We’re announcing it today. A government watchdog withheld at least 14 reports that revealed department-wide problems that allow fraud and waste at a cabinet-level agency, The Daily Caller News Foundation’s (TheDCNF) Investigative Group has learned.

The reports concern issues plaguing the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), including felons illegally living in federally-funded homes, tax fraud and millions of dollars sitting in unused bank accounts for years.
