As many as 227 million Americans may be compelled to disclose intimate details of their families and financial lives — including their Social Security numbers — in a new national database being assembled by two federal agencies.

Jacques Mequet Littlefied did not live an exceptionally long life, dying of cancer in 2009 at age 59. But the independently wealthy San Francisco Bay Area collector did live a wonderfully eclectic life, amassing over some four decades one of the world’s biggest collections of rolling armor. Yup, tanks. And a few other related things, including SCUD missiles, amphibious personnel carriers and anti-tank guns.

It is safe to say that not outside of an actual war is one likely to find anything quite like The Littlefield Collection, 280 largely restored relics from a range of armed conflicts. RICHMOND-The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s proposed modifications to the Clean Water Act definitely will expand the federal government’s regulation of agriculture land uses, according to Donald Parrish, senior director of regulatory relations for the American Farm Bureau Federation. That’s despite EPA statements that existing exemption for agriculture operations will remain intact.

“The EPA is sticking to their talking points. They’re saying they’re not expanding jurisdiction, Parrish said. “But for the first time ever, EPA is defining ditches as tributaries. Scores of undocumented immigrants from Central America have been released at Greyhound Lines Inc. bus stations in Tucson and Phoenix over the past several days after they were flown to Arizona from south Texas, officials acknowledged.

Andy Adame, a spokesman for the Border Patrol in Tucson, confirmed that over the weekend federal officials flew about 400 migrants apprehended in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas to Tucson to be processed. A family says a SWAT team raided its home in the middle of the night and seriously injured a 19-month-old boy with a stun grenade.

The child is at the Grady Memorial Hospital burn unit, and is in a medically induced coma. Phonesavanh said she was at her sister-in-law’s home, in Habersham County, early Wednesday when police raided the house. “It’s my baby. He’s only a baby. (Albuquerque Journal) The homeless man shot and killed in the Sandia Foothills in mid-March was shot three times, including in the lower-left back, and had no illegal drugs in his system, according to an autopsy and toxicology report released by the Office of the Medical Investigator on Thursday.

James Boyd was seen on helmet-cam video as officers tried to coax him out of the foothills for camping illegally. He brandished two small knives at officers but appeared to surrender and begin walking down the hill when officers shot at him.
