The grievous shooting at Fort Hood Wednesday claimed three innocent lives and left 16 wounded—the deaths occurred in a gun-free zone due to former president Clinton’s 1993 policy to disarm soldiers on military bases.

The former acting director of the CIA, in his first public testimony on Benghazi, confirmed that he ignored guidance from the top CIA officer on the ground in favor of reporting from analysts far removed from the scene, in shaping the flawed “talking points” which said the attack sprung from a protest.

Mike Morell, who served as both deputy and acting director of the agency, is under increasing scrutiny over his role in forming the administration’s public narrative about the attack — a narrative which inaccurately blamed a protest from the outset. Morell is accused of heavily editing the so-called “talking points,” which were the basis for then-U.N. Yahoo has announced it has fully encrypted traffic moving between its data centers, as well as mail between servers and other mail providers in order to protect private users from mass surveillance. The move helps put a lid on NSA spooks and hacking.

HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) — Attorneys for a serial killer have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to halt his execution until the state releases information about who supplied its new lethal injection drug stock.

Serial killer Tommy Lynn Sells is set to die Thursday evening with a recently obtained supply of pentobarbital.
