DHS is no longer conducting ordinary background checks because of the increase in the volume of amnesty applications which followed President Obama’s executive order, which took effect on 15 August last year. Skeptical lawmakers may wonder whether DHS can handle the millions of applications which will follow the immigration bill if it is passed, if the department cannot handle the hundreds of thousands which followed the executive order. Daniel Musso, a New Hampshire man who was hit with a stun gun and then arrested by police last week at a gun control rally,returned home Saturday to find his house had caught on fire, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported.

ATLANTA — Channel 2 Action News has obtained an email sent to Atlanta police that says traffic ticket money will fund future pay raises.
An Atlanta police source told Channel 2’s Amy Napier Viteri there are concerns that linking pay raises to tickets creates an indirect quota system, but the Mayor’s Office and the author of the email insist there’s no push to write more tickets. Protesters showed up to a gun-rights rally in Erie, Pa., with their firearms out in the open—purposely defying a local ordinance that prohibits guns at city parks.

(TheBlaze/AP) — Concerned citizens gathered in state capitals nationwide Saturday to rally against stricter gun control measures, days after President Barack Obama unveiled a sweeping package of federal gun control proposals.
Roughly 800 people turned out in Austin, Texas, many carrying signs with messages like “An Armed Society is a Polite Society” and “The Second Amendment Comes from God.” Police in Connecticut said about 1,000 people showed up on the capitol grounds in Hartford, about 50 miles from the site of last month’s mass shooting at Newtown’s Sandy Hook Elementary School. Whatever one believes about Edward Snowden, it would seem that the communist propaganda machine is operating at its limits in a last ditch attempt to completely alter our perception of reality.
Those of us in the patriot movement were in no way surprised by the information Snowden brought forth as we have been talking about the reality of the total surveillance apparatus since its inception back in the early days of Echelon. The powers that be are hard at work in their attempt to legitimatize the foreign invasion into the United States being labeled as illegal immigration. What fools the regimes of the past have been in instituting military invasions into other countries, which are condemned, and rightfully so, as the open aggression they represent.
What if Hitler, instead of invading Poland and France, would have simply sent his forces unarmed and in plain clothes into these other countries as refugees from the failed German economy? And then once they had established themselves, they could have simply voted in German rule.
