Police ticket citizens for good behavior while businesses profit

Police and businesses are working together to ticket citizens for obeying the law!

Chapel Hill, North Carolina police were set to ticket citizens under the “GOOD TICKET” initiative which allegedly rewarded citizens who obey the law(s).

“It’s a good opportunity to thank those for following the law,” Chapel Hill Police Lt. Celisa Lehew said.

Chapel Hill Town Council member Maria Palmer said she would love to receive a good ticketand incredibly claims it will create goodwill between the public and law enforcement.

“You cannot do anything in Chapel Hill illegally without getting caught, this is a way to show that police officers are here to enforce the law and, when you do the right thing, that they are on your side. Police are there to serve you, and the community appreciates this” Palmer said.

Another government pawn wants us to believe cops stopping citizens for obeying the law is justified. The American Police State grows bolder by the day!

Pedestrians using crosswalk signals and bicyclists following roadway signs would qualify for “good tickets”. The tickets would include a coupon and brief information on safety laws.

The initiative will create business opportunities for local stores and restaurants…

According to the DailyTarHeel article, Noodles and Company and Franklin Street Yoga have both agreed to give out coupons for the initiative. Businesses are openly collaborating with police to make a PROFIT!

Fortunately the “Good Ticket” initiative has been postponed for now!

How long before police across the country begin using free food initiatives as a pre-text to stop EVERYONE? The answer, it’s already happening across the country!

This is not the first police department to collaborate with businesses..

Sept, 2015, Michigan police stopped teenage motorists who obey the law and gave them McDonalds, Taco Bell or Subway coupons.

July 2015, Colorado police stopped citizens who obeyed the law and gave them coupons to a local pizza business.

March 2015, A NH police department stopped citizens for obeying the law and gave them coupons to a local pizza business.

America is no longer a free society, when businesses openly collaborate with police to stop citizens for obeying the law and give them food coupons!

  1. If someone gave these useless cops brooms to seep the sidewalks with, they might actually do something beneficial to society, but I think that handing out what amounts to fast-food advertisements is only going to promote bad nutrition.

They’re probably only doing this where the local McDonald’s, Taco Smell, and Subway are hurting for customers, and getting them in the door for a free taco that only costs a dime to make, allows them to sell a $1.69 soda that only costs them a few pennies.

There’s no such thing as a free lunch.

  2. Back in the 1990’s I remember the cops were parked at all the exits leading out of the Rockaway Townsquare Mall. Any driver that had their seat belt on received a free NJ Lottery ticket, anyone caught without wearing a seat belt was given a warning. Cops are useless revenue generators for the corrupt local “officials”. The whole lot of them need to go.

    Coupon = commerce.

“To Protect and to Serve” – commerce.

  4. “Chapel Hill Town Council member Maria Palmer said she would love to receive a good ticketand incredibly claims it will create goodwill between the public and law enforcement.”

Oh god….seriously, this country truly has reach all new levels of childishness. When will people ever grow up?

By the way, can we take Maria out back and give her a good spankin’ since she wants the people to play “childish” games?
