Robber With Knife Loses Against Armed Citizen With Gun

Concealed Nation – by  John Falkenberg

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — They say to never bring a knife to a gunfight; if you threaten the life of a concealed carrier, you’re making it a gunfight.

One would-be robber learned this the hard way when he attempted to rob a responsibly-armed citizen, using a knife to threaten the carrier’s life.

He got a bullet in his leg for the trouble, and he was lucky at that.

NBC Philadelphia reports that a man approached a concealed carrier and attempted to rob him in broad daylight — just before noon.

The man he tried to rob gave him multiple chances — repeatedly telling the man that he had a concealed gun and telling him to back off.

I don’t know whether or not the bad guy didn’t believe him or had some sort of death wish, but either way, the guy kept coming.

The concealed carrier did what concealed carriers do — refuse to be a victim — and opened fire on the assailant, shooting him once in the leg.

He was trundled off to the hospital, and the wound was slight enough that he was quickly released.

Police have not yet revealed the identity of the attacker or what charges will be pressed against him, NBC Philadelphia noted as of June 12.

That’s one bad guy off the streets, and no lives were lost.

It’s a good thing for the bad guy, too — a robber out on the streets who will approach concealed carriers armed only with a knife is not a man suited for the wild.

  1. Never underestimate a man with a knife, (reference the Tueller Drill).

A true knife fighter is going to slice you to the bone with the goal of bisecting muscles and tendons to disable you.

THE BACK SIDE OF YOUR FOREARM HAS NO MAJOR TENDONS/VEINS/ARTERIES AND CAN BE USED TO BLOCK INCOMING ATTACKS!!!

When fighting with a knife let your dominant hand lead for maximum reach, put your support hand up and out of the way to protect your head/neck and face the backside/topside of the forearm to the attacker.

IF YOU STAB TURN THE WRIST OVER ONCE THE KNIFE IS IN AND PUSH THE BLADE OUT LATERALLY, THIS CREATES A WOUND THAT WILL NOT STOP BLEEDING, ITS CALLED A COMMA CUT.

  2. Bad move by the CC
If you feel your life is threatened, truly feel eminent death by your assailant
Your not to wound , as that would stil give the assailant the ability to still inflict a fatal wish upon you and give doubt to those judging you that this was a true threat
If you draw your weapon you dam sure better be able to kill with it
Two shots to center mass , 1 to the head if possible
Your death was on their agenda
If your truly going to change hearts and minds
That’s exactly where you have to aim

    1. “If your truly going to change hearts and minds
That’s exactly where you have to aim”

      Good quote 🙂

  3. “The man he tried to rob gave him multiple chances — repeatedly telling the man that he had a concealed gun and telling him to back off.”

    Bad call.

When someone armed threatens you with bodily harm, you DON’T warn them… draw & fire.

You can talk about it AFTER he’s disarmed & incapacitated.

    Unless he’s dead, that is.
