For a motorcycle rider, it is the ultimate adrenaline rush – and for anyone else, the most terrifying (and dangerous) motorsport event in the world.
This new video reveals the astonishing risks taken by competitors in the Isle of Man’s famous annual TT road race.
It shows a helmet eye view from racer Michael Dunlop as he negoaties the course known as the most dangerous in the world – and which has claimed 240 rider’s lives since it began in 1907.

I had a crotch rocket in my youth. Thank God I survived. 🙂
one deer and its all over
240… that’s a lot. Odds don’t seem to be in one’s favor.
(one deer and it’s all over)
I once went 160+ on a bike. When I passed 140, everything seemed to go into slow motion. I felt as though I went through a time warp. Everything got quite and nice, until I entered, and miraculously shot through, a herd of pronghorn antelope crossing the road (Colorado) and lived to tell about it. It was the last time I pushed that envelope. Sold that bike (BMW K1200RS) without blinking an eye. Now I have a 1980 P200E Vespa (75 mpg scooter), no ego here. 😉
I made 150 once. I don’t care what anyone says that is is frickin fast. I crashed once and didn’t ride again until my son got one. I rode his a little and realized that I still don’t trust other drivers.
That’s exactly why I quit riding bikes here, Bulldog.
Dangerous enough just driving a car.
