A thug recently barged into a Cleveland, Ohio, convenience store and demanded money. Apparently, the clerk was taking too long to gather up the cash, and the thief grew impatient. However, after causing a loud ruckus over the clerk’s pace, nothing prepared the thug for what was now lurking behind him and eventually led to his arrest.
The thug, later identified as Frederick Thornton, entered the Convenient Food Mart with every intention to rob the place. As he hid his identity with a simple surgical mask, he walked right over to the cash register and demanded the clerk hand over the money. However, Thornton quickly became aggravated with the clerk’s slow pace and “smacked his gun against the register,” demanding the money be handed to him more quickly, according to Breitbart.
Unbeknownst to the suspect, the banging of his gun and his loud demands would result in his arrest when another employee working in the back heard the commotion. Thankfully, the second employee didn’t hesitate to take action, retrieving a handgun before going out to the front to help his co-worker. After sneaking up behind Thornton, the badass employee put the gun on the thug’s back and brought the robbery to a screeching halt.
Of course, Thornton quickly spun around and began to wrestle with the employee for control of his gun. However, the clerk came from behind the counter, retrieved Thornton’s gun, and fired warning shots into the air, causing the coward to instantly surrender while begging the employees “not to shoot.”
After checking to make sure Thornton had no accomplices waiting outside, the employees kept him trapped in the building until police arrived. As a result of the thug’s impatience and idiotic antics, he has since been arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.
“Thank God no one was hurt. They really handled it well,” store owner Haytham Mustafa said. “They didn’t go overboard and didn’t hurt anyone. That’s what we wanted to do — hold him and let the law deal with him.”
These employees undoubtedly earned quite a bit of praise, as well as a reputation for being brave. There aren’t too many people who would fight against an armed robber for the sake of someone else’s business. However, this man deserved to be put in his place, considering he thought he could simply walk in and demand cash.
If you’re going to act like a thug, then you’re going to get treated like one. Now, Thornton is going to be spending some time behind bars, where he’ll have plenty of time to relive every second of his foiled robbery.
I think it’s safe to say that Thornton learned a brutal lesson that he should have learned as a child — don’t steal from others. Although some members of our society have a hard time with this concept, if you want or need more money, then do what the rest of the world does and earn it.
This could have ended very badly for the would be robber as well as the employees. The clerk should have handed over the money while the employee in the back dialed 911. HAHAHA………NOT!!!!!! Excellent work guys!!! Unlike the dirty cops these men got the job done without killing anybody including innocent bystanders.
