“It is a popular delusion that the government wastes vast amounts of money through inefficiency and sloth. Enormous effort and elaborate planning are required to waste this much money.” — P.J. O’Rourke
“Never trust anyone who wants what you’ve got.” – Eubie Blake
The Ryan-Murray budget is a good deal only because any budget is probably better than none. After all, we haven’t had one in 4 years, and the brigands on the Beltway have used the time to spend the ink off every greenback they could lay their grubby paws on. But compromise with Democrats is like negotiating with a deal with a serial killer over which implement he will use to dispatch you.
[…] the main purpose of this budget deal is to get rid of the spending cuts promised to us in 2011. So let us get this straight: we need to pass this bill that promises spending cuts in three years to get rid of the spending cuts promised two years ago? We aren’t fooled by Washington’s deceitful tricks. (FreedomWorks)
Back in the Nifty Fifties, Johnny Carson hosted a TV game show titled “Who Do You Trust?” In our nation’s capitol these days, the safest answer is “Nobody.”

Haha! I love that Paul Ryan/John Boehner pic. Reminds me of that Abbott and Costello math comedy skit they did.
