Law enforcement intelligence-processing fusion centers have long come under attack for spying on Americans. The Arkansas director wanted to clarify the truth: centers only spies on some Americans – those who appear to be a threat to the government.

In trying to clear up the ‘misconceptions’ about the conduct of fusion centers, Arkansas State Fusion Center Director Richard Davis simply confirmed Americans’ fears: the center does in fact spy on Americans – but only on those who are suspected to be ‘anti-government’.   Continue reading “Fusion center director: We don’t spy on Americans, just anti-government Americans”

(Reuters) – Russia said on Friday that heightened military activity near North Korea was slipping into a “vicious cycle” that could get out of control, implicitly criticizing U.S. bomber flights that followed threats from Pyongyang.

Foreign Ministry Sergei Lavrov suggested that North Korea should also cool down, calling on “all sides not to flex their military muscle” and avoid the danger of a belligerent response.   Continue reading “Russia warns against military activity near North Korea”

Suspicious Activity Defined: (Where everyone in the US could be a terrorist, does this sound familiar? Regimes like Nazi Germany or the USSR encouraged the public to spy on its citizens.)

The Nationwide Suspicious Activity Reporting Initiative defines suspicious activity as “observed behavior reasonably indicative of pre-operational planning related to terrorism or other criminal activity.” IACP’s primary research found that most individuals rely on a combination of factors when determining if an activity, behavior, or object is suspicious and merits reporting to the authorities. These factors are:   Continue reading “FEMA’s guide to reporting suspicious activity openly encourages Americans to spy on each other.”

According to scientists, at least 40% of the population may be living at the mercy of the parasites that infect their brains. That’s right: just under half the world’s humans have been turned into the real-life equivalent of zombies.

Neuroparasitology, or what the UK Telegraph calls “zombie reprogramming,” is a result of parasites or other microbes entering the brain and rewiring how you think and act. While this most often occurs in nature, it can happen in humans.  For example, researchers at Binghamton University recorded the activity of 36 academics before and after receiving the flu vaccine, and the results were terrifying.   Continue reading “Parasite Turning Us All Into Zombies”

April 21, 1836 -is the most important date in Texas history.  San Jancinto Day  is a state holiday and a day that has been reenacted for the last seventeen years at the San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site in La Porte, just east of Houston.  This reenactment is the largest in Texas.

Having lived between Texas and Iowa throughout my childhood I have always consider myself ‘part Texan’. I attended 4th grade at Nolanville Elementary in Central Texas during the Cold War in the 80s. This was a time of great tension between the United States and the USSR.   Continue reading “Pro Texas Group Denied Place At San Jacinto Anniversary Because They are Too Political”

Pressure is mounting on Canada to finish up a long-delayed trade deal with the EU. Despite outstanding issues that still must be settled, there is a final push to try and complete an agreement this summer. If both sides are able to secure a deal, it would lay the groundwork for the proposed U.S.-EU trade pact. There is the possibility that the U.S.-EU transatlantic trade talks could also include the other NAFTA partners and maybe even other countries. Mexico has already shown interest in joining and if Canada can’t put the final touches on their own agreement with the EU, they might also be part of the negotiations. This would facilitate plans for a coming NAFTA-EU free trade zone and the formation of a transatlantic economic union.   Continue reading “Final Push for a Canada-EU CETA and the Coming NAFTA-EU Free Trade Zone”

The events in Cyprus have given us an opportunity to re-learn some valuable lessons.

Lesson #1 – Do Not Trust Politicians

Nicos Anastasiades, the current president of Cyprus, had made it a campaign promise during the previous election that bank deposits would be safe. Like nearly everything a government official will tell you, the opposite is usually true; Anastasiades’ promise turned out to be worthless. To put salt in the wound, it has been alleged that Anastasiades tipped off his close friends about the impending crisis. According to Italian media, they were then able to move 4.5 billion euros out of the country in the week before the banks closed.   Continue reading “The Top 4 Lessons of the Cyprus Debacle You Shouldn’t Have to Re-learn”
