NEWTON, N.C. – The Federal Aviation Administration said a helicopter crashed Thursday afternoon, clipping a home in a North Carolina neighborhood. Emergency personnel said the two people onboard the aircraft were hurt.

ISTANBUL (Reuters) – A Russian naval intelligence ship sank off Turkey’s Black Sea coast on Thursday after colliding with a vessel carrying livestock and all 78 personnel on board were evacuated, Turkey’s coastal safety authority said.

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. dropped the most since August after the oil and natural gas explorer said it will shut more than 3,000 Colorado wells as part of an investigation into a deadly house explosion.

Shares slipped as much as 5.6 percent to $56.59 in New York trading, their biggest intraday slide since Aug. 1, and were down 4.8 percent to $57.07 as of 10:15 a.m. in New York. Anadarko will close and inspect the wells as a precaution after the April 17 blast, The Woodlands, Texas-based driller said in a statement Wednesday. MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – An unknown amount of stolen radioactive material has prompted an alert in nine Mexican states, the head of national emergency services said on Monday.

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump told the leaders of Canada and Mexico Wednesday he was not immediately planning to end the North American Free Trade Agreement, a pact which he railed against as a candidate and as recently as last week declared was harmful to US workers.

WASHINGTON — President Trump on Wednesday proposed sharp reductions in both individual and corporate income tax rates, reducing the number of individual income tax brackets to three — 10 percent, 25 percent and 35 percent — and easing the tax burden on most Americans, including the rich.

The Trump administration would double the standard deduction, essentially eliminating taxes on the first $24,000 of a couple’s earnings. It also called for the elimination of most itemized tax deductions but would leave in place the popular deductions for mortgage interest and charitable contributions. The estate tax and the alternative minimum tax, which Mr. Trump has railed against for years, would be repealed under his plan.

More than 30 U.S.-backed Syrian and Iraqi Kurdish fighters were killed in a series of airstrikes carried out by Turkish jets on Monday, two American defense officials confirmed to Fox News.
