We just enjoy sitting back and watching a fictional disaster unfold so that we can strategize how we would handle it, mock the hero for his or her poor decisions (you know, those dumb moves that a prepper would never make), and feel absolutely justified with regard to our lifestyle choices. Yet another recall has hit the shelves of a store near you. This time, it’s something really surprising. It’s fresh fruit.
The FDA has announced that peaches, nectarines, and plums sold in more than a dozen states could potentially be tainted with Listeria monocytogenes. Jac. Vandenberg, Inc. of Yonkers, New York has recalled 1,727 cartons of peaches, 1,207 cartons of nectarines and 365 cartons of plums. Dozens of blood pressure medicines have been recalled. The medications, containing an ingredient used to make rocket fuel, are the latest in the recent mass blood pressure drug exodus.
The recent recall that follows months of blood pressure drug recalls may be an ominous sign for modern medicine as the blood pressure and stroke medications are manufactured in China, notorious for its pollution. Two-thirds of the ingredients from the drugs originate in China, whereas the other third comes from India.
