At least seven people were shot in Brooklyn on Sunday night including one 20-year-old woman at the end of a violent weekend that saw a man robbed and shot dead in Harlem on Saturday afternoon, and yet another subway traveler pushed onto the subway tracks.

A firearms-toting congresswoman-elect who owns a gun-themed restaurant in Rifle, Colorado, has already asked Capitol Police about carrying her weapon on Capitol grounds, her office has acknowledged. If she does so, she apparently won’t be alone.

The CEO of Qantas Airways, the largest airline in Australia, says that a COVID-19 vaccination will be a “necessity” for international travelers under new flying terms and conditions his airline has put into consideration.

In an interview with Aussie news program A Current Affair, CEO Alan Joyce said that he is unsure if his airline will require the shot for domestic travelers but that it would certainly be required for those entering and leaving the country. As the nation cracks down on group activities so close to the Thanksgiving holiday, Gov. Kate Brown, a Democrat, has told Oregon‘s residents to call the cops if they see coronavirus violations.

“This is no different than what happens if there’s a party down the street and it’s keeping everyone awake,” Brown said in an interview Friday. “What do neighbors do [in that case]? They call law enforcement because it’s too noisy. This is just like that. Grand Canyon University said it saw an increase of cases connected to Halloween parties and has begun to strongly encourage its students to stay on campus for Thanksgiving in response to the latest numbers.

Several videos of wild scenes at Shanghai Pudong Airport have emerged after workers tested positive to the coronavirus on Sunday night.

The Global Times reported that several cargo handlers and their close contacts tested positive to COVID-19 on Sunday.

Authorities introduced mandatory coronavirus testing of all its staff, with flights into Shanghai largely cancelled on Sunday night. Airport workers were asked to be tested, beginning around 3pm, an airport employee told the Global Times. Northern Arizona University cracked down on students who hadn’t received mandatory COVID-19 testing by locking them out of their online classes, a move that prompted most to get into compliance.

University spokeswoman Kimberly Ott said about 25 students were notified early in the past week they wouldn’t have continued access to the online instruction system because they didn’t get tests or seek an exemption even after three email notifications and a phone call, the Arizona Daily Sun reported.
