HSBC Bank : Secret Origins To 26/11 Mumbai Attacks

#SwissLeaks what the media has termed it is a trove of secret documents from HSBC’s Swiss private banking arm that reveals names of account holders and their balances for the year 2006-07. They come from over 200 countries, the total balance over $100 billion. But nowhere has the HSBC Swiss list touched off a more raging political debate than in India.   Continue reading “HSBC Bank: Secret Origins To Laundering The World’s Drug Money”

Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius–and a lot of courage–to move in the opposite direction.”
–E. F. Schumacher

When I moved to Seattle in 1996, I had thought I knew how to order a cup of coffee: “I’ll have a cup of coffee please.” Soon I realized that it was more complicated: “I’ll have a Venti soy dolce latte, topped with sprinkled cinnamon and caramel drawing on whip cream, with coffee on the side please.” Referring to the US government is increasingly becoming as challenging as ordering coffee in Seattle: “Petro-imperial, coal-fired, plutocratic, oligarchic, inverted totalitarian, fascist, propagandist Big Brother, with democracy on the side.” Things are beginning to simplify though. Soon you’ll be able to refer to the US government with one single word–the Borg.   Continue reading “The US Government Is Metamorphosing Into the Borg”

How many nations are blessed with political and financial leaders who routinely state the unvarnished truth in public?

Only two come immediately to mind: Greece and Bhutan: Greece, where the new leadership repeatedly states the nation is bankrupt and extend-and-pretend policies are finished, and Bhutan, which explicitly rejects worshiping the false god of growth as measured by GDP (gross domestic product).   Continue reading “Empire of Lies”

Already under fire from Iraq War veterans for making up events, NBC is taking new flak today from former military brass over a correspondent’s claim that sniper hero Chris Kyle was a “racist” on “killing sprees” while protecting troops in Iraq.

Some 22 retired generals and admirals, including a former deputy undersecretary of defense for intelligence, joined with dozens of other officers and the press watchdog Media Research Center in a letter to demand an apology from NBC parent Comcast after the network refused to acknowledge the comments.   Continue reading “Brass demand NBC apology over claim sniper Kyle was ‘racist’ on ‘killing sprees’”

With the weight of Tom Brokaw on his shoulders (and neck), NBC’s Brian Williams has written a note to NBC Staff

A Personal Note from Brian Williams

In the midst of a career spent covering and consuming news, it has become painfully apparent to me that I am presently too much a part of the news, due to my actions. Continue reading “Brian Williams Says “He’s Too Much Part Of The News” – Takes Himself Off Daily Broadcast”

On Wednesday, Hussein Obama invited some of his fellow illegal aliens over to the White House to appear as props for his push to “legitimize” his flood of illegal aliens into the American workplace and open society.

In his comments the communist operative said, “Because of the executive actions that we took with respect to DREAM Act [not legislation and not an Act] kids and because of the executive actions that I announced late last year with respect to many of their parents, what I’ve heard is lives transformed.”   Continue reading “Usurper Obama Claims Illegal Aliens Are As American As He Is – We Already Knew That”

Bob Marley in 1979, before the Reggae Sunsplash concert in Montego Bay, Jamaica.Guardian – by Vivien Goldman

“Me no really say no bad things about no one, cause me have a full heart,” Bob Marley once told me. “That is a sign of being an ignorant and undisciplined human being. Me prefer just to understand the situation and suss it out and say what is right and what is wrong.”

Confident in taking a stand, Bob Marley was not afraid to sing with moral authority. As events echoing the struggles he took part in and sang about take place around the world, I often find myself wondering: what would Bob have made of this if he were alive to celebrate his 70th birthday? What songs might he have written? Except that, usually, he already has.   Continue reading “Bob Marley at 70: legend and legacy”

Guns Save Lives – by Dan Cannon

It looks like the anti-gun Democrats are back at it in Congress once again. This time they are looking to bring back the federal ban on magazines that can hold more than 10 rounds. Those of you who lived through the first federal “assault weapons ban” know how troublesome this legislation is.

The new bill is sponsored by Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) in the Senate. In a released statement he said:   Continue reading “Federal Ban on Standard Capacity Magazines Introduced by Congressional Democrats”

On October 27, 1962, a man you’ve never heard of saved your life …

It was at the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis, when the U.S. and Soviet Union were on hair trigger alert for World War Three.

And an order to launch a nuclear missile against Americans was actually given by the commander and political officer of a Soviet nuclear submarine.   Continue reading “A Man You’ve Never Heard of Saved Your Life”

Loretta Lynch Takes an OathCNS News – by Brittany M. Hughes

Speaking about Attorney General nominee Loretta Lynch’s statement that illegal aliens have the “right to work” in the United States, Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) said he was “astounded” by Lynch’s comments, calling them “crazy” and “just not true.”

CNSNews.com asked Vitter, “Do illegal aliens have the right to work in the United States?”

“No, they do not, and more importantly, the law is very clear on the fact that they do not have the right to work in the United States,” Vitter answered.    Continue reading “Vitter: AG Nominee Lynch’s Claim Illegals Have ‘Right’ to Work in U.S. ‘Just Absolutely Crazy’”

Press TV

Press TV has conducted an interview with Ken O’Keefe, a peace activist and former US Marine from London, to discuss Washington’s major role in either generating or aggravating most of the current crises across the world and allowing groups like the ISIL Takfiri terrorists to foster and grow.

O’Keefe argued the United States can no longer deny the fact that it is funding, arming and training the terrorist groups through its proxies in the Middle East.   Continue reading “US can no longer deny its support for ISIL: Activist”
