Secretary of State Tony Blinken is a total disaster.  His actions in Afghanistan to turn over the protection of US troops in the country to the Taliban and hand over $84 billion in arms and military equipment and airplanes was the worst surrender in US history.  It is the worst because it wasn’t necessary.  It was a total disaster. Two soldiers stationed in Texas have been ordered to federal prison for conspiring to transport undocumented migrants, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Friday.

The United States will sell natural gas to the European Union as part of an overall plan to cut the continent’s dependence on Russian energy in the wake of Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, President Biden said Friday.

Oil futures turned higher on Friday, giving up earlier declines, after reports of an attack on an oil facility in Saudi Arabia renewed concerns over global crude supplies.

Prices for oil had been trading lower as European Union countries failed to agree on a ban on imports of Russian crude. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday accused Russian President Vladimir Putin’s forces of using phosphorus bombs in their latest wave of attacks on his country, telling NATO leaders in Brussels that “people were killed,” including children.
