Dear Trenchers,

I have a friend who has been diagnosed with cancer. He has gone through one surgery, and now has it in other areas. Please pray for this kindhearted man. I have informed him of known cures. However from what I can discern, he is going with allopathic medicine.

When U.S. Special Operations forces raided several houses in the Iraqi city of Ramadi in March 2006, two Army Rangers were killed when gunfire erupted on the ground floor of one home. A third member of the team was knocked unconscious and shredded by ball bearings when a teenage insurgent detonated a suicide vest.

In a review of the nighttime strike for a relative of one of the dead Rangers, military officials sketched out the sequence of events using small dots to chart the soldiers’ movements. Who, the relative asked, was this man — the one represented by a blue dot and nearly killed by the suicide bomber?   Continue reading “Inside the FBI’s secret relationship with the military’s special operations”

Many questions remain unanswered about Tamerlan Tsarnaev, his CIA-linked uncle Ruslan Tsarni, and the FBI slaying of his friendDissident Voice -by Dave Lindorff

One thing that the FBI does really well is exonerate itself. As I wrote earlier, the bureau’s agents have shot 151 people over the course of the last two decades, killing more than half of them, yet in its own internal reviews, the FBI has exonerated those agents all 151 times — a perfect record of blamelessness that even some of the country’s most gun-happy police departments (even in Albuquerque, NM) can’t claim.   Continue reading “Government Exonerates FBI’s Lax Investigation of Suspected Boston Bomber”

Records indicate San Diego police covered for convicted cop [KGTV-TV]The Raw Story  – by Arturo Garcia

Records suggest officials with the San Diego Police Department moved to cover up a former officer’s sexual misconduct out of fear of negative press coverage, KGTV-TV reported on Friday.

According to a court transcript, former Police Chief William Lansdowne told Executive Assistant Chief David Ramirez in a confidential meeting, “When the reporters … get it in the news, we have a problem” regarding reports that in 1997, then-Officer Anthony Arevalos had forced a mentally unstable woman to perform “sex acts” on herself with his baton, as Arevalos took pictures.   Continue reading “Documents point to San Diego police officials protecting cop with multiple sexual assaults”

TALLAHASSEE, Florida (Reuters) – In a crisis situation or evacuation for natural disasters such as hurricanes and wildfires, people with no criminal record would be allowed to carry a firearm without a permit, under a bill approved Friday by the Florida House of Representatives.

“The bells of liberty are surely ringing throughout Florida today,” said Representative Heather Dawes Fitzenhagen, a Fort Myers Republican who sponsored the bill lifting permit requirements for concealed weapons in an emergency declared by the governor or local authorities.   Continue reading “Florida House approves bill allowing gun use without a permit during natural disasters”

Two brothers from St. George, Utah, were detained and cited by federal authorities Thursday afternoon as they crossed into an area closed for the ongoing roundup of “trespass cattle” on public land in northeastern Clark County.

Ramshackle: Nato said many of the troops were not on official bases and had instead set up in Russian fieldsDaily Mail – by Dan Bloom

Shock satellite images reveal how Russia has amassed 40,000 troops, tanks and fighter jets just 30 miles from the Ukrainian border.

Nato, which released the photographs, claimed the military forces could invade within just 12 hours if given orders from Moscow.

The photos have provoked a furious diplomatic row between Nato and the Kremlin, which claims they were taken last year. But Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen insisted the threat was real.   Continue reading “Satellite photos expose 40,000 Russian troops, tanks and fighter jets massed near Ukraine’s borders as Nato warns Kremlin could order invasion within 12 Hours”

Sandra-Ferris---with-gunSHTF Plan- by Mac Slavo

Last summer Bob Ferris’ wife returned from church looking particularly beautiful so he decided to take a few snapshots with his camera. A few months later the couple happened across a contest promotion in People magazine called “Real Beauty at Every Age.” The contest was open to everyone and all that it required was a photo submission. Just about all submissions, so long as the pictures were tasteful, were allowed entry into the contest.

But Sandra Ferris, who says the contest submission was her husband’s idea, didn’t even get past the qualifying stage.   Continue reading “Banned: Woman’s Photo Rejected from Beauty Contest Because Of Handgun: “Inappropriate Content””

A man and a woman were having a quiet, romantic dinner in a fine restaurant.

They were gazing lovingly at each other and holding hands. The waitress, taking another order at a table a few steps away, suddenly noticed the woman slowly sliding down her chair and under the table – but the man stared straight ahead.

The waitress watched as the woman slid all the way down her chair and out of sight under the table. Still, the man stared straight ahead.           Continue reading “A Romantic Dinner”

You may have heard on the news about a Southern California man who was put under 72-hour psychiatric observation when it was found he owned 100 guns and allegedly had 100,000 rounds of ammunition stored in his home. The house also featured a secret escape tunnel. By Southern California standards, someone owning 100,000 rounds is considered “mentally unstable.”

In Michigan, he’d be called “The last white guy still living in Detroit.”   Continue reading “100 Guns and 100,000 Rounds of Ammo”
