Indeed, nearly 300 troops are being prepared to deploy to Iraq, as they would be to any nation on Earth where a US embassy is located, and may possibly require evacuation. It is in no way an “intervention” or a gesture of “assistance” to the government of a destabilized country. However, in Iraq, Western headlines would have readers think otherwise.

The Guardian’s article, “Barack Obama sends troops back to Iraq as Isis insurgency worsens,” in title alone leads the general population to believe the third “Iraq War” has begun. The article claims:

In response to a well-received Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies (IEET) article by Franco Cortese, I recently authored an analysis at ClubOfINFO on the Second Amendment’s possibilities against tyranny in the United States. Due to deepening totalitarian tendencies in the US government, such as mass surveillance and extrajudicial killings, I believe this discussion is very relevant and deserves greater attention.   Continue reading “America: Revolution 2.0?”

As the White House weighs the possibility of taking military action in war-torn Iraq, WikiLeaks source Chelsea Manning is warning that it’s imperative that the American media demands unfettered access to any operations overseas.

Manning, 26, issued that call for action in an editorial published in the New York Times this weekend authored from the jail cell in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas where she is currently serving a 35-year prison sentence for leaking a trove of sensitive files to the anti-secrecy site. Before being arrested and charged with dozens of crimes related to the unauthorized disclosure of those documents, Manning was deployed outside of Baghdad and for months worked as an intelligence analyst for the United States Army.   Continue reading “‘You’ve been lied all time’: Chelsea Manning issues dire warning about Iraq”

The government does enjoy installing cameras pretty much everywhere it can do so with a minimum of complaints. If it thinks there might be some controversy, it just buries the detailsuntil after the fact.

Eugene Volokh has a roundup of new places state governments are planning to install cameras— only the government won’t be buying the cameras… or maintaining them… or even installing them. That’s left to the private businesses these bills are pushing additional surveillance requirements on.   Continue reading “State Legislators Discussing Laws That Will Put Law Enforcement Surveillance Cameras Inside Private Businesses”

The George H. W. Bush and two escorts have just transited the Strait of Hormuz and are in position in the Persian Gulf.  The U.S. Navy’s newest aircraft carrier is now “ready for tasking,” as Pentagon spokesman Rear Admiral John Kirby put it.

What tasking does President Obama have in mind? Senator John McCain, among others, has urged him to bomb Sunni militants, who during recent days stormed out of the north of Iraq, captured cities with almost no fighting, and after the stunning collapse of the army now threaten Baghdad.  The government of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki had in May asked for American airstrikes on the forces fighting under the banner of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.  ISIS or ISIL, as the al-Qaeda splinter group is variously known, has achieved remarkable success because it draws strength from Sunnis disenfranchised by the Maliki government.   Continue reading “If Anyone Bombs Iraq, Shouldn’t It Be China”

The sudden implosion of the vast Iraqi Army of the Baghdad Puppet Regime constructed by the U.S. is an excellent early warning of the fates of the other U.S. puppet states in the Muslim World—Afghanistan, Egypt, Pakistan, Yemen, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, U.A.E., and lesser ones. As always, there are many differences among these puppet states, including degrees of being puppets of the U.S., but the general picture of them and their situation now are roughly similar.   Continue reading “The U.S. Puppet Regimes In The Muslim World Are All Paper Tiger Tyrannies Hated By Their Oppressed People”

Just as an important difference in everyday life is that between a bathroom and a kitchen, so, too, does a crucial distinction in political economic philosophy exist between government and private contractual arrangements. But here is where the analogy breaks down. There are other, even more important insights to be garnered in ordinary living than that between these two rooms (e.g., don’t eat poison, feed yourself, take care of babies); there is simply no more important delineation in libertarian theory than that which exists between coercion (the government) and voluntary cooperation (the market).   Continue reading “You Didn’t Consent to be the State’s Victim”

The citizens of the United States still do not know why their government destroyed Iraq. “National Security” will prevent them from ever knowing. “National Security” is the cloak behind which hides the crimes of the US government.

George Herbert Walker Bush, a former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency who became President courtesy of being picked as Ronald Reagan’s Vice President, was the last restrained US President. When Bush the First attacked Iraq it was a limited operation, the goal of which was to evict Saddam Hussein from his annexation of Kuwait.   Continue reading “Washington’s Iraq “Victory””

Common Dreams – by Shamus Cook

The fall of Iraq’s second largest city, Mosul, to an al-Qaeda linked militia elicited a curiously muted response from the Obama administration. Yes, Obama “denounced” the terrorist invasion, but when the Iraqi government asked for U.S. airstrikes to repel perhaps the most powerful terrorist group in the world, Obama thus far refused, only hinting at some form of aid in the yet-to-be-determined future.

This is perhaps the first time Obama has initially refused such an offer from an allied government. Indeed, he’s suspected to have approved airstrikes in 8 other countries under the guise of fighting terrorism. So why the hesitation?   Continue reading “Iraq and the Destructive Sham Called the ‘War on Terror’”

The “war on compassion” when it comes to the homeless in America has been one of Liberty Blitzkrieg’s key themes this year. There are many reasons why I find this topic to be of such tremendous importance. First and foremost, I think that if we want to see how the state and crony corporate status quo will treat everyone in the future, all you have to do is look at how the homeless are being “dealt with.” Secondly, random groups feeding the homeless in various venues is a great example of decentralized compassion. Political power hates decentralization and is quite intentionally trying to corral the homeless into the centralized bureaucratic channels over which it has total control. So this isn’t merely a humanitarian issue, it is also a front line battle in the key war of our time: Decentralization vs. Centralization.     Continue reading “In 33 U.S. Cities, Feeding The Homeless Has Been Criminalized”

According to the START consortium at the University of Maryland, here is the threat from “far right” extremism in America:

  • Between 1990 and 2013, there were 155 ideologically motivated homicide events committed by far-right extremists in the United States. About 13 percent of these were anti-government in nature.
  • Including the Oklahoma City Bombing, which killed 168 individuals, far-right extremists killed 368 individuals during ideologically motivated homicide events between 1990 and 2013.

The new generation of energy efficient light bulbs are so dangerous in so many ways that they had to be designed for the sake of an evil agenda to mass-poison the population. You will understand that it is no exaggeration by the time you finish this chapter.

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the following emergency procedure should be followed in the event of a bulb breakage, due to the poison gas that is released.   Continue reading “A New Method of Poisoning Us With Radiation: ‘High Efficiency’ Light Bulbs”

American special operations units permanently deployed in Eastern Europe are no longer just on the Pentagon’s wish list. About 100 instructors are set to train spec ops teams in former Soviet bloc states to ‘message’ Moscow over the conflict in Ukraine.

The latest statements from the US European Command (EUCOM) once again prove that Washington is using the crisis in Ukraine to revitalize the NATO alliance and bolster its military presence in Europe in order to tie it to the US.   Continue reading “US commandos get permanent Eastern European foothold”
