BALTIMORE, MD — The City Council of Baltimore voted to create one of the most stringent government curfew systems in the nation.  Under the new restrictions, youths will be legally permitted to appear in public for only a few hours per day.  Police may seize them on sight and take them to detention centers where they will be interrogated by social workers.  Parents face stiff fines and jail time if their children are discovered in public during curfew hours.

The ordinance passed the city council in a 13-2 vote last week, in favor of enhancing Baltimore’s curfew policies.   Supporters championed it as a step forward for safety and order.  But at what cost?   Continue reading “Strict Baltimore curfew places minors in detention centers past bedtime”

Edward Snowden

Is Edward Snowden a radical? The dictionary defines a radical as “an advocate of political and social revolution”, the adjective form being “favoring or resulting in extreme or revolutionary changes”. That doesn’t sound like Snowden as far as what has been publicly revealed. In common usage, the term “radical” usually connotes someone or something that goes beyond the generally accepted boundaries of socio-political thought and policies; often used by the Left simply to denote more extreme than, or to the left of, a “liberal”.   Continue reading “The Anti-Empire Report #129”

It can be overwhelmingly confusing, figuring out which foods to focus on or avoid with the glut of specialized diets promoted and proselytized today. Obviously, some thrive on these diets or they wouldn’t be so fanatical, but there are those whose health worsens with any of these diets. Truth is, there is no one diet size that fits all.

There is also an index that provides metabolic typing practitioners worldwide who can be consulted by email or phone here. Or you can do an online test to determine your metabolic type here.   Continue reading “The Difference Between Healthy Grains and Unhealthy Grains”

Tyrants Have Always Spied On Their Own People

Spying has been around since the dawn of civilization.

Keith Laidler – a PhD anthropologist, Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a past member of the Scientific Exploration Society – explains:

Spying and surveillance are at least as old as civilization itself.

bribery-handsFree-Man’s Perspective – by Paul Rosenberg

I know something about bribery. When I was a teenager, my dad was in the construction business in Chicago. So, as soon as I got my driver’s license (at 16), I was sent out delivering bribes. That’s just the way     things were done, and my dad let me drive a fancy car (with an FM radio!) to make the deliveries.

I delivered leather coats to wives, envelopes to government offices, other envelopes to politicians at their fundraisers, booze to lots of people, and in one case, the answers to the state driver’s exam to a guy in… um… a different line of work.   Continue reading “Bribery in America”
