courageI read an article today posted to Henry Shivley’s website regarding a patriot who is contemplating the awful thought of having to go to war and the real possibility of protecting his family before himself.

In the article he mentioned removing himself from his home in case the feds might decide to kick his door down in the middle of the night to drag him away to a FEMA camp.  He would decide to not shoot back due to the possibility of his wife and kids being harmed by bullets fired by the invaders.  In effect, he would surrender himself or fall on his sword to protect others.  I applaud this man’s chivalry and desire to protect his wife and offspring first.  Yes, he would be making a wise decision to avoid carnage for those he loves. obama dronesYahoo News – by Adam Clark Estes | The Atlantic Wire

Human rights advocates were floored on Monday night when NBC News published the details of an alarming Justice Department memo detailing the protocol for sending drones after United States citizens. It’s not as if they hadn’t suspected that the Obama administration’s top secret drone attack protocol contained some unsavory details. They just didn’t expect them to be so frightfully broad. The scoop by Michael Isikoff is actually startling not for the details but rather for the lack of details. It’s very vague about a decision-making process that puts American lives on the line. Put simply, the government believes that a lethal drone attack against an American citizen is justified if the targets are a) “senior operational leaders” of al-Qaeda or b) “an associated force.” Continue reading “Take a Rare Look at How Obama Decides to Send Drones to Kill Americans”

CHAMPAIGN — The Housing Authority of Champaign County is getting ready to allow its public housing residents to keep guns in their homes.

To this point, public housing residents in Champaign County have been prohibited from keeping firearms in housing authority buildings, but the agency’s insurance provider is now saying that the rule is a violation of residents’ Second Amendment rights. prisonBeyond the debtors’ prisons now springing up in the United States of America, many cities are making those arrested and jailed pay for his/her own daily incarceration.  In an article published in National Law Journal by Joshua Michtom the concept of paying for one’s own incarceration is addressed [1]

His lengthy and well-referenced article brings to light the old saying of ‘three hots and a cot’ for any person who served in the U.S. Armed Forces or held prisoner.  Sadly, this saying is no longer valid.  Traditionally, what this statement has implied is that if a person were to go to join the U.S. Military or end up in jail, at bare minimum, that person would be able to obtain three hot meals and a bed to sleep in.  Throw in heat, free medical care, showers, and clothes, it might sound pretty good to a homeless person as well.  Correct?  Continue reading “The Price of Paying for One’s Own Incarceration”

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un issued a secret order to “complete preparations for a nuclear weapons test between Tuesday and yesterday” and carry it out sometime soon, a source told the JoongAng Ilbo.

Kim also reportedly said, “The country will be under martial law starting from midnight Jan. 29 and all the frontline and central units should be ready for a war,” the source said. Continue reading “North Korea declares Martial Law…All Troops on High Alert for War”

atfYears ago I spoke with a gunsmith about bringing in my .22 long-rifle to him for repair.
He said, “If you got the gun from your Grandfather when he died, you had better try to repair it yourself.  Each month the ATF picks up a log book from me to take to their office and register serial numbers that are to be logged into the book any time a gunsmith works on a gun. That means rifles as well as hand guns. If your Grandfather never registered the gun, then keep it hidden as a family heirloom. It is against the law for a gunsmith to work on a gun of any type and not write down its serial number for the ATF to collect at the end of each month. In effect, it is a backdoor gun registration idea.” Continue reading “Backdoor Gun Registration – Proof”

rgz Guns for Groceries 15SHTF Plan – by Mac Slavo

Leave it to enterprising Americans to always find a loophole in the midst of ever-expanding government regulation.

While thousands of Seattle residents lined up for hours to trade their handguns, rifles and family heirlooms away in exchange for up to $200 in gift cards as part of the city’s latest gun buyback program, gun collectors who have seen prices for assault rifles and firearms accessories almost triple since November took advantage of a huge opportunity.

Police stood in awe as gun enthusiasts and collectors waved wads of cash for the guns being held by those standing in line for the buyback program. Continue reading “BACKFIRE: Seattle Gun Buyback Turns Into Gun Show; Collectors Waved “Wads of Cash” At Those In Line”

Dear Sean,

Thank you for contacting me about gun safety, the President’s policy proposals, and potential Congressional action on this issue. I appreciate hearing from you on this important concern.

On Friday, December 14, 2012, twenty children and six school teachers and administrators were killed in a horrific mass shooting at the hands of a mentally ill individual. Unfortunately, this tragedy is not the only one of its kind. This was the third mass shooting including Aurora and Oak Creek in the last year and fifth in the last several years with Virginia Tech and Tucson. Yakima Herald – by Chris Bristol

Citing his desire to protect constitutional rights, Yakima County Sheriff Ken Irwin announced Tuesday he is against a ban on assault weapons, but favors background checks on all firearms transactions.

In an interview with the Yakima Herald-Republic, Irwin said he decided to announce his position on two of President Barack Obama’s most controversial gun control proposals ahead of a clear-the-air meeting Friday with supporters of gun rights.

He acknowledged his position would probably fully satisfy neither supporters of gun rights nor supporters of increased gun control after the shootings in Newtown, Conn., last month that claimed the lives of 20 grade-school children and seven adults. DEARBORN, Michigan –  McDonald’s and one of its franchise owners agreed to pay $700,000 to members of the Muslim community to settle allegations a Detroit-area restaurant falsely advertised its food as being prepared according to Islamic dietary law.

McDonald’s and Finley’s Management Co. agreed Friday to the tentative settlement, with that money to be shared by Dearborn Heights resident Ahmed Ahmed, a Detroit health clinic, the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn and lawyers. Dear Washington State Senator Steve Litzow,

I do not know who else to turn to regarding the emergent need, I believe, that exists for teachers in Washington State to be armed with handguns in their classrooms.

After the wave of school shootings in the United States in the past sixteen-years, with no end in sight to armed intruders taking advantage of what has been deemed ‘a gun-free zone’, I see no alternative to protecting students and staff in a school building.

An Oregon sheriff says he will not enforce any federal regulation that President Barack Obama lays out in his package of gun control proposals Wednesday.

Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller joins several other public officials across the nation who have decided to square off with the White House even before it outlines what its plans are for expanded measures.
