Colorado’s new drive-through coronavirus-testing station in Denver made its debut Wednesday and was quickly overwhelmed. At one point Thursday, the line of cars with passengers waiting to be swabbed was almost four hours long, until the state cut off the service for the day. A group of Americans will present evidence in June to a second jury that their employer deliberately discriminated against them by hiring Indian H-1B workers — even though the Indians cost more money.
The Americans persuaded their first jury in a June 2019 trial against Molina Healthcare Inc. — but the judge quickly declared a mistrial before the jury could announce its verdict, said James Otto, the California lawyer who helped to win the case. I have been writing for years about the dangers to human freedom that come from government mass surveillance. The United States was born in a defiant reaction to government surveillance. In the decade preceding the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the villains were the Stamp Act and the Writs of Assistance Act. Today, the villain is the Patriot Act. A revolution-minded, conspiracy-bent militia group named the Oath Keepers is recruiting law officers in Hood County to take up arms in what the founder predicts will be a “bloody civil war” against the U.S. government.
A national director of the Las Vegas-based Oath Keepers, John D. Shirley, moved to rural Hood County in 2015 and has been appointed by county commissioners as a constable, giving him both access to confidential information and a political platform to recruit more militia members. Strapped with pistols and carrying government IDs, two Treasury agents walked onto a Maryland farm on a cold winter morning in 2012, and asked for the owner – Randy Sowers. It was a blur of badges and questions, but Sowers’ four-year legal nightmare was only just beginning. “My story could belong to any farmer or business owner,” Sowers says. “People have almost no idea what the feds will do when they want to hurt you. What kind of power-hungry bureaucrats do we have when guilt or innocence plays no role in the system?” Continue reading “Farmer Refuses to Roll, Rips Lid Off IRS Behavior”

OROFINO, Idaho — A family that had for years resisted eviction from their property near Orofino were removed from the home Tuesday without violence.
Donna and Charles “Nick” Nickerson and an extended group of children and other family members stood alongside Crow’s Bench Road, about 4 miles northeast of Orofino on Tuesday afternoon, watching in the rain as a moving van, escorted by about six Idaho State Police troopers and Clearwater County Sheriff’s deputies, drove off with the last of their belongings. We purchased a property and increased our equity.
We bought a property in 2002. We bought the property to have a place to share with others. It was a ranch parcel with a rustic log home and a few outbuildings. Our family worked hard, developed the property, increased our equity, and built a ranch we could be proud of. Our note was on time and in good standing with Coldwell Banker Mortgage for six years. In 2008, as our IHTU The Battle Begins In Idaho music video illustrates, Chase took over our loan, messed up our records, and acted rude on the phone. The Supreme Court seemed to think that North Carolina unlawfully pirated copyrighted images of an 18th century shipwreck during oral arguments Tuesday morning.
The case, arising from the discovery of Blackbeard’s famed pirate ship, asks whether an underwater production company can sue North Carolina for distributing its copyrighted images of the wreck. Several justices appeared troubled by the possible consequences. Continue reading “Supreme Court Hears Arguments Over Blackbeard’s Pirate Wreck”

Anyone who has ever had to stand in a long line to pay the state for the privilege of renewing your driver’s license knows how infuriating that experience can be. The bureaucratic high-horse mentality of many of the DMV workers is so brazen and overt that DMVs have earned a notoriously horrid reputation in every state. But more infuriating than long lines and power-tripping bureaucrats, however, it the fact that according to a new report, these power-tripping bureaucrats are selling your data to private entities. Today is the 18 anniversary of 9/11, an event that has turned a once free America into a domestic police state and an international warmonger during the 21st century. America’s reputation has been shattered along with the Constitution, international law, and seven nations in whole or part. The massive crimes against the Bill of Rights and the population of seven nations are the direct consequence of 9/11. Pressure is mounting on Congress to “do something” in response to recent mass shootings in Texas and Ohio. A poll released Monday confirms what has been true for years: namely, that Americans support new gun regulations.
As the Washington Post put it, Americans “overwhelmingly support expanded background checks for gun buyers and allowing law enforcement to temporarily seize weapons from troubled individuals.” That includes “at least 8 in 10 Republicans, white evangelical Christians, members of gun-owning households.” Continue reading “Pollak: Trade Universal Background Checks for Universal Concealed Carry”
Fayetteville, AR -(AmmoLand.com)- The siren call for gun control has once again lured The Washington Post onto the rocks.
