SANTAQUIN, UT — A man was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstructing justice when he refused to stop spraying water on a brush fire that had ignited in a field behind his home.
The incident happened on July 4th in a field located behind a row of houses. At approximately 9:30 p.m., some brush caught fire due to errant use of fireworks. Spectators quickly assisted and one woman called 9-1-1 for help. Continue reading “Utah man arrested for extinguishing a brush fire”
After her 7-year-old daughter, Liza, was diagnosed with an aggressive and generally fatal kind of brain tumor in 2011, Jennifer Scherr decided to treat the cancer with cannabis oil. At the time marijuana was not legal for medical use in Illinois, although a law authorizing a pilot program took effect this year. Scherr’s father-in-law, Curtis Scherr, a Chicago police officer, nevertheless agreed to help her grow marijuana in the hope of prolonging his granddaughter’s life. He obtained the high-intensity light bulbs Jennifer needed and stopped by the house periodically to check on the grow operation. But about a week after Liza died in July 2012, Curtis ratted out her grieving mother, filing a search warrant application in which he reported having seen 50 marijuana plants in Jennifer’s basement. A state judge issued a warrant, which a dozen or so DEA agents used to search Jennifer’s house on July 19. They did not find any contraband, since Jennifer had discarded the plants after Liza’s death. CHICAGO—Highlighting increasingly dangerous conditions within the city, a new study published Monday by Northwestern University’s Department of Environmental Studies revealed that approximately 75 percent of the air in Chicago is now composed of bullets.
“Far exceeding the levels of carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and even oxygen, bullets now constitute three-fourths of Chicago’s air supply,” said atmospheric scientist and study coauthor John Molina, stressing that the dense and widespread deposits of jacketed lead and copper in the air pose severe and potentially fatal health risks to all Chicago residents. The man who heads the federal agency responsible for many of the 50,000 unaccompanied alien children from Central America who have entered the U.S. illegally in recent months told a conference on Tuesday that those working with refugees should look to Jesus Christ as a role model.”

President Barack Obama is refusing to visit the turbulent U.S.-Mexican border, where a flood of illegal immigrants continues to overwhelm the region.
Instead, Obama will visit the home of Austin-based filmmaker Robert Rodriguez this week as part of a trio of Texas fundraisers. The Austin visit features tickets ranging in price from $5,000 to $32,400. The July 9 fundraiser also will feature actors Rosario Dawson, Danny Trejo and Jessica Alba. On Tuesday’s “Your World with Neil Cavuto” on the Fox News Channel, Pinal County, AZ Sheriff Paul Babeu reported that the federal government has released criminal illegal aliens into his community and that his officers have arrested individuals who have already been deported 10 or 15 times. He said “[the federal government] has released dangerous violent criminals right in my county and they refuse to give me the names of these criminals, and that there are “cartel scouts…ushering the drugs through all the way up to Phoenix” within the county. The mayor of a Texas border town has announced his city will not be diverting public funds to further aid the illegal immigrant invasion, a problem which is straining the resources of other border towns.

In Gaza last night, while Israeli army forces launched military attacks against Gaza, by sea, air and via artillery shells, hundreds of thousands of Palestinian children were unable to sleep inside their roof- tinned homes, clinging to their parents, crying, and terrified. The shelling last night was earth shattering, and went through the entirety of the Gaza strip- at least 100 attacks have already taken place .

US State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki said to reporters at a press briefing that the Ukrainian government has every right to conduct attacks on civilians, as this upholds the country’s unity.
According to US State Department spokesman Jen Psaki, the Ukrainian government defends the country, inflicting air strikes on civilians in the east of the country. She stated this today at a regular meeting with reporters. Psaki justified Kiev’s actions in relation to the militia.

The Prince William County, Virginia Board of Supervisors hopes to turn up the pressure on federal immigration officials to reveal more details about undocumented criminals referred by the county for action.
Chairman Corey Stewart helped lead a crackdown in 2007 on undocumented immigrants who committed crimes in the county, but he’s frustrated that U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) won’t reveal whether criminals sent to them by the county are deported or freed. Despite Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson vowing to “stem the tide” of unaccompanied illegal minors across the southern border with Mexico, thousands more are expected to enter the United States by the end of the year. With the system being overwhelmed, Border Patrol agents are concerned about minors who have admitted to being MS-13 members, a brutal street gang from El Salvador that has been successful in infiltrating American communities. Agents are also concerned about minors who have committed acts like torture and murder in their home countries before heading north to the United States. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency has served one of its agents with a letter saying “you must immediately cease and desist” from issuing statements and press releases to the media with information that is “Law Enforcement sensitive,” according to the document, obtained byNational Review Online.

Looking for a fun way to spend the hottest week of the summer thus far?
I’m just going to go out on a limb here and say that spending it without a working refrigerator is NOT it.
Last Wednesday I was out for the day. I got home and opened the fridge and grabbed a drink. I though, “Hmm….that isn’t very cold.”
And indeed it was not, because my refrigerator had stopped working properly sometime earlier that day. Because of the 4th of July weekend, I wasn’t able to get anyone to come and repair it until Monday. Then, after it was diagnosed, a part had to be ordered which will not arrive until tomorrow. MISSION, Texas—Fourteen more illegal immigrants were captured in two separate groups in Anzalduas County Park near the city of Mission, Texas. One group of 11 immigrants was comprised of women and children from Honduras. The other group contained three adult males from Mexico.
Breitbart Texas spent a day with deputies from the Hidalgo County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office in Anzalduas Park, one of the hotspots of illegal immigrant entry into this region. The park is located just west of the Anzalduas International Bridge. Breitbart Texas has witnessed the capture of nearly 100 illegal immigrants on three separate visits to this area. On Friday, Vice President Joe Biden used an Independence Day celebration and speech in Philadelphia to compare gay marriage to the Civil Rights Movement and push for more gay marriage.
According to The Hill, “[Biden] said he was reminded of two Philadelphias, one where the Declaration of Independence was signed 238 years ago and the other in Mississippi where civil rights workers were murdered in June 1964, two weeks before President Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act.” After saying that the two Philadelphias helped give meaning to the words “all men are created equal,” Biden reportedly said that gay marriage was the next battle to expand the “notion that all men are created equal.” Continue reading “Joe Biden: Gay Marriage Fulfills Declaration of Independence”
Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins is facing criticism for a plan to house children crossing the border from Mexico illegally. He says they could be housed at a local middle school, an alternative education building and a warehouse at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.

Ukraine will only negotiate with the rebels once they lay down their arms, Kiev’s defence minister has said.
“There will be no more unilateral ceasefires” by Ukrainian troops, Valeriy Heletey said in a statement posted on the ministry’s website.

Rush got a call from a retired Doctor and his wife (location uncertain) who informed him that their local Catholic Church is cooperating with DHS on the illegal immigrant situation, and that the church has requested them to take in and house within their home a number of the illegal refugees for a limited period of time, with promises of future reimbursement for any out-of-pocket expenses.
