The National Security Agency is harvesting hundreds of millions of contact lists from personal e-mail and instant messaging accounts around the world, many of them belonging to Americans, according to senior intelligence officials and top secret documents provided by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden. The collection program, which has not been disclosed before, intercepts e-mail address books and “buddy lists” from instant messaging services as they move across global data links. Online services often transmit those contacts when a user logs on, composes a message, or synchronizes a computer or mobile device with information stored on remote servers.     Continue reading “NSA collects millions of e-mail address books globally”

In recent years, a new type of terrorist threat has emerged: the “lone wolf.” A Lone wolf presents a challenge for current law enforcement of The United States Of America. Because  lone wolves’ remain obscure, no readily available set of policies is likely to have a significant effect.

In the United States, federal law defines terrorism in many different ways. “International Terrorism” and “Domestic Terrorism” are defined similarly as unlawful “acts dangerous to human life” that “appear to be intended” to coerce civilians or influence government policy.18 Title 18 of the U.S. Code. On the other hand, State-sponsored terrorism, is the active support of a terrorist group by a national government.   Continue reading “Psychiatric Evaluation Of Resident Obama!”

Not that long ago government and free market proponents were at sword’s point, but no more. With little left in the private sector to rip off, the financial gangsters have turned to the public sector and put to work for them the free market economists’ advocacy of privatization. Governments themselves became part of the conspiracy once the politicians realized that looting public assets was an efficient way to reward their private benefactors.

We can see the entire picture in the David Cameron government’s privatization of the British Royal Mail. The prime minister has described the looting as “popular capitalism” even though the British public overwhelmingly opposes turning over the mail service to a profit-making enterprise.   Continue reading “Whatever Became Of Western Civilization?”

131010-camouflage-uniforms-teaseThe Daily Beast – by CAITLIN DICKSON

In 2004, the Army decided to scrap the two traditional camouflage uniforms that had long been used by the military—one meant for woodland environments, another for the desert—and claimed to have come up with a universal pattern that could be worn anywhere and blend in with any environment. The $5 billion dollar experiment with the universal pattern is over as the Army is phasing out the uniform after less than a decade of use. But many soldiers and observers are wondering why it took this long and cost this much to replace an item that performed poorly from the start during a period when the money could have been spent on other critical needs, like potentially life saving improvements to military vehicles and body armor.   Continue reading “The Army’s $5 billion New Uniform Already Being Replaced”

Water is a precious and scarce commodity for some nations who are geographically located in areas prone to draught or with a predominant desert landscape.

It is priceless in certain locales and so abundant in others that the marginal utility of an additional gallon of water is very low. When something is overabundant people tend to abuse it.   Continue reading “Private-Public Water Partnership, UN Agenda 21”

The day after Facebook announced that it was removing a privacy option that would make all of its users searchable, Google made its own announcement for adding an option called “Shared Endorsements.”

The new option would display Google users’ names and profile pictures beside advertisements for businesses and products that they’ve endorsed with a review, a +1, or even a follow. Google account holders were concerned about how these changes could be exploited, but Google is giving its users the option to opt out early.   Continue reading “How to Opt Out of Google Policy That Displays Your Photo Beside Ads”

In an interview Jan Skoyles of the Real Asset Company and Koos Jensen who blogs on China and gold have said that the Chinese government  has to be co-operating with the Federal Reserve to manipulate the price of gold. China accepted its chosen role to replace America as the World center for manufacturing during Nixon’s historic visit of 1972.

The economist Wassily Leontieff won the Nobel Prize for his analysis of the American economy. In the 1930s he studied the outputs of raw materials industries like iron ore and coal mining and their related steel and automotive industries. He concluded that America had abundant natural resources and a skilled work force. Continue reading “Skoyles & Jensen: China Behind Federal Reserve Manipulation Of Gold And The Dollar”

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) – Gov. Jerry Brown has vetoed a bill that would have banned future sales of most semi-automatic rifles that accept detachable magazines, part of a firearms package approved by state lawmakers in response to mass shootings in other states.

The governor announced signing other gun-related legislation on Friday but rejected the centerpiece bill, which would have imposed the nation’s toughest restrictions on gun ownership.   Continue reading “Brown Vetoes Bill Banning Semi-Automatic Rifles”

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A measure to set new election rules for minor political parties passed the state Senate on Tuesday despite concerns from members of the Libertarian and Green parties that the changes would obstruct their access to the ballot and create hurdles for their candidates.

The proposal cleared the Republican-controlled Senate on a 22-11 vote, with one GOP senator joining Democrats in opposition. The bill now goes to the House.   Continue reading “Ohio Senate passes new third-party ballot rules”

Covington police officers escort a referee off the field at St. Paul's School — WWLTVYahoo Sports – by Cameron Smith

There have been multiple cases in past 12 months where adults have been arrested or questioned for attacking or verbally abusing high school and youth sports referees. In a unique turn of the table, two referees in Louisiana were arrested on Friday after they allegedly threatened a police officer who was stationed on the field.

As reported by WWLTV, the New Orleans Times-Picayune and the Associated Press, among other outlets, two referees who were working the St. Paul’s School (Covington, La.) against Mandeville High (Mandeville, La.) football game were arrested on intimidation charges related to threats they allegedly made against a Covington police officer during the course of the game. The officer in question then reported the threat and shortly thereafter, both officials were escorted off the field by a group of three other police officers.   Continue reading “Two referees arrested after alleged threats in Louisiana”

In order to achieve a combined European military, small groups of countries whose militaries work together can be used as “building blocks” of a pan-European military power.(Joern Haufe/Getty Images)The Trumpet – by RICHARD PALMER

Rather than create a European army all at once, Germany should focus on building it bit by bit, according to a paper published this month by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAF). Germany should develop “islands of cooperation”—small groups of countries whose militaries work together—that can be used as “building blocks” of a pan-European military power, it wrote.   Continue reading “Germany Outlines New Strategy for a European Army”

The final days of empire give ample employment and power to the feckless, the insane and the idiotic. These politicians and court propagandists, hired to be the public faces on the sinking ship, mask the real work of the crew, which is systematically robbing the passengers as the vessel goes down. The mandarins of power stand in the wheelhouse barking ridiculous orders and seeing how fast they can gun the engines. They fight like children over the ship’s wheel as the vessel heads full speed into a giant ice field. They wander the decks giving pompous speeches. They shout that the SS America is the greatest ship ever built. They insist that it has the most advanced technology and embodies the highest virtues. And then, with abrupt and unexpected fury, down we will go into the frigid waters.   Continue reading “The Folly of Empire”

According to The HillLA Times’ editor Paul Thornton admits they don’t print letters that say global warming is not happening or those that “deny” climate change, and considers those opposing views to be “errors of fact”, even if they aren’t. The United Nations’ climate report has already garnered criticism from scientists, but now fights are brewing around the 2,200-page document’s advocacy for a global cap on carbon dioxide emissions.

The UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released its fifth assessment of the Earth’s climate which asserted “95 percent” certainty that global warming was man made while receiving criticism for glossing over the lack of significant warming in the last 15 years.   Continue reading “UN climate report sneaks in worldwide carbon emissions limits”

Before It’s News – by N. Morgan

This is one of the craziest car chases I think I’ve seen. Expect the unexpected with this video. A woman was involved in a wreck with two trains on Sunday morning, and Police said the 29-year-old woman was fleeing police when the accident occurred. Officials said the woman walked away with only a broken arm, which seems like a miracle considering images of the vehicle. The mangled Mercedes sat pinned under the train for several hours after the driver was rushed to the hospital.

Detective Adam Osoro of the Woods Cross Police Department described the accident. “It just couldn’t stop in time,” he said of the woman’s vehicle. “It was too close to the incident, didn’t have time to stop.” At about 8:20 a.m., police responded to an unwanted guest disturbance call.   Continue reading “Police Chase Woman, Train Hits Her Car, Before Second Train Hits Car As Woman Flees On Foot”

She needed reconstructive surgery to 'replace the bones that had been shattered' after being pushed into the cell Daily Mail

A woman is suing a police officer and the town of Skokie, Illinois, after she was seriously injured when a cop threw her into a jail cell face-first following a drunk driving arrest.

Cassandra Feuerstein, 47, claims in a federal lawsuit filed on Wednesday, that excessive force was used in the incident and that she needed reconstructive surgery to ‘replace the bones that had been shattered’ after being pushed into the cell on March 10.

The video of the incident clearly shows the 47-year-old being roughly shoved into the cell by an officer, who was later identified as Michael Hart.   Continue reading “Woman shoved face-first into a concrete jail cell bench by cops”
