ATLANTA — Nancy Writebol, the second American medical missionary stricken with Ebola virus in Liberia, arrived at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta Tuesday after a trans-Atlantic flight in a small jet outfitted with an isolation pod.

Writebol, 59, arrived at Dobbins Air Reserve Base aboard the same jet that brought the first American patient, 33-year-old physician Kent Brantly, to the medical center from Liberia on Saturday, WXIA-TV reports. On May 18, 2014, I received a call from my 22 year old autistic son. I immediately got in my truck and went to where my son was being ticketed. When I drove up on the right hand side of the road, adjacent to my son’s car, I did not leave my vehicle and I kept it running. The officer turned around and asked, “Can I help you?” I said, “I’m his father.”  The officer yelled at me to please leave the premises. This story just goes to show that you can’t rely on living in a fancy gated community to prevent violent crime. Also, the phrase don’t bring a knife to a gunfight comes to mind.

Three men showed up at a home in Wellington, Florida and got into a dispute with the son of the homeowner. BATON ROUGE – Members of Metro Council will have to give the final approval to pay $495,000 to settle a wrongful death lawsuit over an officer-involved shooting where a drunken man was shot and killed in 2011.

On March 6th, 2011, Baton Rouge police officer Christopher Magee shot and killed Carlos Harris, 21, in the parking lot of Club Insomnia off Florida Boulevard.
