NYPD cops beat a man Wednesday night during a solidarity protest for Michael Brown, a video shows, although the circumstances surrounding the attack remained unclear early Thursday.

The 45-second video begins after police officers and the man have started arguing in the middle of a dark street in the East Village. The government has been giving local police Military equipment from battlefields across the world. Here is a list of current proven equipment used by law enforcement, given to them through the 1033 program. In 2013 alone, $449,309,003.71 worth of property was transferred to law enforcement,” the agency’s website states.

Hundreds of protesters flooded the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City on Wednesday, carrying signs and chanting in support of Palestinians as violence continues to rage in Gaza.

In the name of transparency following the outrage over the fatal shooting of unarmed teenager Michael Brown by a Ferguson, Missouri police officer last week, St. Louis police have put out cell phone video that shows two officers shooting and killing a man who approached them brandishing a knife and yelling “Shoot me!”

Police identified the man as 25-year-old Kajieme Powell, who was suspected of stealing from a nearby convenience store. Officers arrived on the scene after receiving two separate 911 calls reporting Powell’s erratic behavior. While national news media continue to focus on race in Ferguson, Missouri, where a white police officer shot and killed an unarmed black teenager, they apparently don’t think a similar case in Utah with the races reversed is that newsworthy.

Police in Salt Lake City are continuing their probe into an Aug. 11 shooting outside a 7-Eleven convenience store, when a black police officer, whom local media are referring to as “not white,” shot and killed 20-year-old Dillon Taylor, who is white and was unarmed at the time, according to his supporters.   Continue reading “Black cop kills white man, media hide race”

Newly released video from NYC Housing Authority security cameras in Queensbridge appears to show that the NYPD is lying about a fatal crash that killed a Japanese student last year and may have tried to cover up the incident by discarding further video evidence. Russia’s consumer watchdog has shut down four McDonald’s restaurants in central Moscow – including the first-ever outlet in the country – over “administrative violations.” More of the company 430 Russian franchises are under investigation.
