Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has been caught paying over $30,000 for jewelry from his granddaughter’s company out of campaign funds. He says the purchases were gifts for supporters, but as Jon Ralston pointed out, “The FEC wants to know more about the gifts purchased with campaign funds. The rules only allow officials to give gifts of nominal value. It would take quite a number of nominal gifts to add up to $17,000. Either way, the optics here are just horrific.” The average price for items from his granddaughter’s company is $70, which seems to be a little bit more than “nominal.” Continue reading “Harry Reid Doesn’t Like Reporters Poking Into His Family Affairs”

I was just reminded that I should have informed readers of the recent blockbuster news that JPMorgan has multi-billion dollar life insurance policies on employees betting on their early deaths, to the tune of 10.4 billion dollars. (Thanks S)
The JPMorgan linked deaths are piling up as yet another death is added to the tally, bringing theofficial number to 13, yet when lower level banksters are added in, that number tops twenty, and yet official causes of death are either unknown, ruled accidental or “suicides,” despite previous warnings, by “V” The Guerrilla Economist via Steve Quayle, of an actual hit list with over three dozen names on it was revealed after the fourth mysterious banker death. Israel’s foreign ministry has gone on strike. Israel has closed embassies worldwide on the heels of an agreement with Merkel’s Germany to represent it in predominantly Muslim countries.
I’m trying to remember a time when a labor dispute such as this has caused not only all embassies worldwide to close their doors but prompted the head of state of the country in question to cancel an historic trip to Latin America. Continue reading “Germany and Zionists Tie the Knot Again”

That any schoolkid could predict eliminating feedback and consequences will lead to a series of disastrously poor choices by speculators and imprudent borrowers doesn’t register with the Keynesian Cargo Cult.
The Keynesian Cargo Cult’s ability to print and squander money is insignificant next to the power of Diminishing Returns. By now we all know two things about the Keynesian Cargo Cult’s religion: Continue reading “Dear Keynesians: Your Sad Devotion to Your Failed Religion Hasn’t Conjured Up a Recovery–Here’s Why”
Friends,
I have maintained a nice, quiet relationship with Rick and Robin Light. Rick is the Commander of the Texas State Militia.
We received a hurried message from him several hours ago asking for our prayers for his wife and beloved partner Robin, who was being rushed to the hospital. At this point in time we have nothing more to share. Continue reading “Prayers are Requested”

California Senator Dianne Feinstein (D) is at it again. She’s got America’s gun in her sights. After a devastating blow from the pro-Second Amendment population in America against her major gun grab last year, Feinstein has determined to dig a little deeper. In fact, a letter that she has been circulating in Washington that cites a 45 year old law, which basically allows certain guns to be stopped from import, according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives interpretation of “sporting purposes.” Continue reading “Feinstein Touts 45 Year Old Law to Ban Semi-Automatic Rifle Imports”

So holds Rhein v. Pryor (N.D. Ill. Mar. 20, 2014). At this stage of the proceedings, there has been no fact finding based on the plaintiffs’ allegations, so one cannot assume that the defendants indeed behaved the way the plaintiffs claim. I quote the case only to show what legal theories can be brought if government officials do indeed act in the ways the plaintiffs allege. Here are the factual allegations; note that a FOID card is a Firearm Owners Identification Card that is required under Illinois law to possess guns: Continue reading “Free speech, right to bear arms, search and seizure, and due process claims based on gun seizure can go forward”
Not one Wall Street executive has been criminally prosecuted in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis. Why not?

David and Connie Johnson were asleep when they heard a noise Connie later described as the “walls caving in.” Seconds later their front door was forced open and two armored strangers burst into the two-room apartment the middle-aged couple share with their adult son, Aaron.
Several other assailants were clustered behind the two who had forced open the door. One of them was a female holding a leash that barely restrained a large, snarling dog. One of the intruders pointed as assault rifle at David’s head and threatened to shoot him. Another invader, a female, bellowed, “Put your hands up! This dog will bite you!” Continue reading “Idaho Family Terrorized by Midnight Paramilitary Raid”
