A desperate robbing victim called 911 when four armed men broke into his Florida home — and was promptly transferred to voicemail.

Apparently, a dispatcher tried and failed to transfer the caller from the fire line to the police line. That’s when the assaulted victim was asked to leave a message instead, FOX 13 in Tampa reported.

As of yesterday, WND reported that 100 American contractors are awaiting airlift from Balad Air Force Base in Iraq. According to one contractor, who spoke with WND via Skype, as many as 300 contractors had already been evacuated from Balad while another 100 were awaiting to be airlifted out. It was reported that the Iraqi Air Force was attempting to evacuate everyone out by midnight local time. These past few days, we have seen a rapid escalation of an Al-Qaeda offshoot known as ISIS that is storming down through parts of Syria and across Iraq. The average temperature for December 2013 to March 2014 period in Chicago was only 22.0°F, 10 degrees below freezing, beating the old record set in the winter of 1903-04. It even beat the harsh winters of 1977/78 which were some of the worst ever.

The Presbyterian General Assembly, gathering in Detroit through next week, will consider withdrawing its investments from some companies whose products are used by the Israeli government in the Palestinian territories. Divestment advocates were narrowly outmaneuvered at the last Presbyterian convention in 2012, losing a crucial ballot by just two votes.
