Nearly two years after her teenage son was shot to death in Nogales, Mexico, by one or more Border Patrol agents, Araceli Rodriguez is headed to court to find out who killed him.

Internal VA documents show the depth of fraudulent scheduling, manipulation of data and in some cases intimidation of staff to hide delays in medical care to veterans in the 6-million patient national system.

Auditors found at least one appointment scheduler at 109 VA medical centers who said wait times for veterans had been falsified, according to a USA TODAY analysis of internal VA survey data made public Tuesday. Locust Fork, Alabama – A 14 year old boy used a 12 gauge shotgun to shoot and kill a man who was romantically linked to his mother.

Jerusalem (CNN) — Despite calls for a new cease-fire, fighting intensified in Gaza on Monday and Tuesday morning, with Palestinians saying more than two dozen people died as rockets or mortars struck a refugee camp, a hospital and the center of Gaza City.

Eighteen people died as powerful and continuous air strikes rained down on Gaza City early Tuesday morning, the Palestinian Health Authority reported. A DeKalb County police officer resigned Monday after coming under fire for shooting a resident’s German Shepherd and then blocking the owner from taking the dog to the vet.

A Chicago-area police officer who fatally shot a young dog in front of its 6-year-old owner on Friday was fired on Monday. Witnesses said the dog was not provoking the cops before it was shot.

Police dispatch in the Chicago suburb of Hometown, Illinois received a phone call on Friday from the dog’s owners that Apollo, a 16-month-old shepherd mix, got out of the family’s yard, and they requested assistance in finding him, Police Chief Charles Forsyth said in a statement on Facebook. GOODRICH, TX (KHOU) – A deer hunter stumbled upon thousands of pot plants in what could end up being one of the biggest marijuana busts in Texas history.

The hunter was at his deer lease in Goodrich off Old Highway 35 Saturday when he saw the suspicious plants and alerted authorities.
