BEIRUT (AP) — The gunmen came to the all-girls’ elementary school in the Iraqi city of Fallujah at midday with a special delivery: piles of long black robes with gloves and face veils, now required dress code for females in areas ruled by the Islamic State group.
“These are the winter version. Make sure every student gets one,” one of the men told a supervisor at the school earlier this month. Extremists are working to excise women from public life across the territory controlled by the Islamic State group, stretching hundreds of kilometers (miles) from the outskirts of the Syrian city of Aleppo in the west to the edges of the Iraqi capital in the east. HAVANA (AP) — Cuba’s point person on U.S. relations says anything is up for discussion as the two countries move to re-establish diplomatic ties, from anti-drug cooperation to joint environmental agreements.
But there’s at least one area where Cuba appears unwilling to budge: Asylum for fugitives whom the U.S. has long sought to extradite from the communist-run country. “Every nation has sovereign and legitimate rights to grant political asylum to people it considers to have been persecuted,” the Cuban Foreign Ministry’s head of North American affairs, Josefina Vidal, told The Associated Press. NYPD Cop killer Ismaaiyl Brinsley was using a traffic app called Waze to track law enforcement’s movements, NYC Alerts tweeted on Monday. According to an available screenshot, Brinsley was tracking two officers who were almost 4 miles away from him in Staten Island at 10:44 PM EST since the beginning of December. For an end-of-year surprise from Obamacare, millions of Americans could find Obama’s healthcare officials choosing a plan for them instead of allowing people to make their own choices. It seems that Obamacare is about to impose those changes without taking any consideration of current medical conditions and without bothering to determine whether people have coverage or ongoing medical concerns.
It looks like Obama has decided that millions of Americans are just too stupid to figure out how to handle their own healthcare and will by fiat simply impose his own ideas on people. Continue reading “Merry Christmas! Obamacare About to Hurt Millions More Americans on Christmas Day”

Why is there so much focus on police lately in this country?
Much of it has to do with an overwhelming sense that our rights don’t seem to matter to the cops anymore, and that they perceive ordinary citizens more like potential enemy combatants than the people these guys have supposedly sworn to protect and serve.
Here’s another case highlighting the fact that many officers are either in contempt of our Bill of Rights, or too ignorant to respect them. Continue reading “Houston Officer Investigates Open Carry Protest, Tries to Delete Cell Phone Video”

Just this week, the New York Times published an article stating that the problem of surging whooping cough cases has more to do with flaws in the current vaccines than with parents’ resistance. Could the truth about vaccines be going mainstream?
So, you’re trying to grow a plant. You take it inside, in a little pot. You feed it fertilizer, put it under lights, and when it starts to wilt, you prop it up with all sorts of sticks and tape, and when one fails, you add more. Eventually it dies. All it wanted was sun, fresh air, clean water, and the magic of natural soil. I think of this pathetic image when I reflect on the absurdity of our vaccination program. If it were only absurd, and not deadly, my reflections would be just that. Instead, I am here to speak to pregnant women about how to arm themselves with knowledge, to warn them so there are no regrets. In a blistering editorial published in the Monday edition of the New York Times, the editorial page editors are calling upon the Justice Department to open an investigation into the torture practices committed during the administration of President George W. Bush with an eye towards prosecuting those who “committed torture and other serious crimes,” along with former Vice President Dick Cheney and other major administration officials.
Under a headline reading, “Prosecute Torturers and Their Bosses,” the board criticizes the administration of current President Barack Obama for failing “to bring to justice anyone responsible for the torture of terrorism suspects,” during the period following the attack on 9/11. A Milwaukee police officer fired after fatally shooting a mentally ill man in April won’t face criminal charges, the county’s top prosecutor said Monday, while the U.S. attorney said hours later that there will be a federal investigation of the case.
Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm said Christopher Manney won’t be charged because he shot Dontre Hamilton in self-defense. Manney is at least the third white police officer to avoid charges in the past month after a confrontation that led to a black man’s death.
