WASHINGTON, D.C. — The CIA director said that enhanced interrogation techniques (EITs), condemned in a Senate Intelligence Committee report as ineffective, did help thwart terrorist attacks against the United States, capture terrorists, and save lives.

“Our review indicates that interrogations of detainees on whom EITs were used did produce intelligence that helped thwart attack plans, capture terrorists, and save lives,” CIA Director John Brennan said in a statement Tuesday. “The intelligence gained from the program was critical to our understanding of al-Qa’ida and continues to inform our counterterrorism efforts to this day.”     Continue reading “B.S. FBI Director James Comey on Tuesday left open the possibility that an agent might again pose as a journalist as part of an investigation, though he said such a tactic ought to be rare and “done carefully with significant supervision, if it’s going to be done.”

I can only imagine what the numbers might be like in California, Texas, and New York. 4,317 charges of sexual assault on minors were recently recorded in a 12 month period in America’s 10th largest state — North Carolina.

Universal Free Press reports:

Between November 1, 2013 and October 31, 2014, there have been 4,317 charges of child sexual assault filed against illegal aliens in North Carolina, according to the citizens advocacy group known as NCFIRE.

NEWARK — Newark mayor Ras Baraka will hold press conference today to urge lawmakers to pass legislation making the state’s red light camera program permanent.

The five-year-old pilot program is set to expire and the cameras at 73 intersections across the state will go dark unless the state legislature and Gov. Chris Christie take legislative action by the middle of this month.

“We need that money. The Ugly Truth

The scathing report published Tuesday by the United States Senate Intelligence Committee on the CIA’s interrogation of terror suspects reveals that the CIA’s lawyers used the rulings of Israel’s Supreme Court to construct a legal case justifying torture.

According to the 528-page document, a redacted version of the 6,000-page report that remains classified, in November 2001 some CIA officers were concerned they may need legal justification for the interrogation methods they had begun using when questioning Al-Qaida suspects in the wake of the 9/11 attacks.
