According to some experts, wheat is more like the staff of death than the staff of life these days.   Due to genetic modifications of wheat over the past century (go HERE to learn how scientists “fixed” wheat during the 60s), the grain that appears in nearly every meal in America seems to be causing serious health concerns, particularly inflammation and autoimmune issues.

The problem is, gluten-free food is a billion dollar industry, and at the prices Big Food is charging for these specialty items, it’s easy to see how fast the bills can rack up.    Continue reading “How to Go Gluten-Free Without Contributing to the Billion Dollar Big Food Rip-Off”

Zero tolerance weapons policies at schools continue to be ridiculous. Between Pop Tarts bitten into gun-like shapes and drawings of guns being treated as severely as the real thing, schools enforcing these policies (forced on them by the government’s decision to tie funding to weapons policies) have slid into cartoonish parody of discipline.

In news that should come as a surprise to almost no one, two eleven-year old boys at a Flint, MI school were arrested and charged after bringing a toy gun to school. Zero Hedge – by Tyler Durden

The US Bureau of Reclamation released its first outlook of the year and finds insufficient stock is available in California to release irrigation water for farmers. This is the first time in the 54 year history of the State Water Project. “If it’s not there, it’s just not there,” notes a Water Authority director adding that it’s going to be tough to find enough water, but farmers are hit hardest as “they’re all on pins and needles trying to figure out how they’re going to get through this.” Fields will go unplanted (supply lower mean food prices higher), or farmers will pay top dollar for water that’s on the market (and those costs can only be passed on via higher food prices).   Continue reading “Feds Withhold Water To California Farmers For First Time In 54 Years”

The bitterly cold winter the country is experiencing now took government climatologists completely by surprise, but was predicted with dead-center accuracy by the Old Farmer’s Almanac, a 200 year-plus publication.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Climate Prediction Center worked feverishly, plugging all available data into supercomputers to predict temperatures would be “above normal from November through January across much of the lower 48 states,” according to Bloomberg Businessweek.   Continue reading “Farmer’s Almanac nails winter freeze; government climate scientists way off”

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said in an interview broadcast Thursday on Israel Channel 2 TV: “One thing I know a hundred thousand percent is that you can’t turn to the people of Israel with the prospect that what you are offering is going to turn the West Bank into Gaza. Israel’s security is iron clad as a priority in this issue.”

Kerry said he was not asking Israelis to accept an agreement based solely on hope. “I don’t want this to be a leap of faith, but a leap of rationality and a choice based on a very understandable and tangible set of guarantees.”   Continue reading “Kerry: I Know Israel Won’t Accept Turning West Bank into Gaza”

marijuana dea peter bensinger disaster 263x164 Marijuana Legalization a Disaster: Former DEA Chief is really Mad Over Pot LegalizationNatural Society – by Christina Sarich

Have you ever heard the koanwhat’s the sound of one hand clapping? It’s the same sound as the former DEA administrator, Peter Bensinger, wailing that marijuana legalization is a ‘disaster.’ His voice is a lonely one.

The man is an anti-drug crusader who served three former presidents, but forgot that our founding fathers grew Cannabis, that the most important documents of this country were written on hemp paper, as were almost 90% of all others before 1883, and that the ‘perils’ of pot, or medical marijuana use, are about as real as his imaginary job was ‘defending’ the nation from marijuana users.   Continue reading “Marijuana Legalization a ‘Disaster’: Former DEA Chief is really Mad Over Pot Legalization”

Americans are witnessing the harmful effects of years of unchecked immigration and coerced racial preferences. But these dire consequences were rarely predicted fifty years ago. At that time, such policies were the cause du jour of many 1960s politicians.

The late senator Ted Kennedy vigorously asserted that such policies would greatly benefit society and assured us that they would cause no harm. The mainstream media solidly supported Kennedy’s starry-eyed predictions. Admittedly, there were dissenting voices, but none so vocal and contentious as one voice in England. I am referring to the late English parliamentarian, Enoch Powell. In his famous 1968 “Rivers of Blood” speech he correctly predicted dreadful consequences to society as a result of Britain’s loosened immigration policies and proposed expansions to race relations legislation.   Continue reading “What we didn’t hear in the 1960s”
