On January 21st, First Lady Michelle Obama says Jane Fonda is one of her role models, and that she admires her political savviness.

Political Savviness for being a traitor to our vietnam Veterans? How did America ever end up with the Obama’s running their country?

DENVER (AP) — The federal government is ready to let farmers grow cannabis — at least the kind that can’t get people high.

Hemp — marijuana’s non-intoxicating cousin that’s used to make everything from clothing to cooking oil — could soon be cultivated in 10 states under a federal farm bill agreement reached late Monday that allows the establishment of pilot growing programs.   Continue reading “Hemp growing going legit after decades-long ban”

After taking steps to live a more conscious existence, I have found that shopping is overrated. The satisfaction that I find from making my own household products far outweighs buying the “brand of the month.”

My reason to make my own products stem mainly from the ever increasing prices as well as the harmful chemicals present in store bought brands. After using store bought chemicals for years, I noticed my eyes would burn and lungs would hurt after cleaning with them. I knew the chemical cleaners were doing more harm than good, and would much rather preserve my health and not pollute our water supply any further.   Continue reading “10 Household Products You Never Have To Buy Again {With Shopping List}”

New Gun-Rights Bill Angers Namesake Piers MorganThe New American – by Raven Clabough

An Oklahoma state legislator has proposed a pro-gun law to “reaffirm Oklahomans’ Second Amendment rights,” and humorously named it after a man who loathes being associated with such a measure.

The “Piers Morgan Constitutional Right to Keep and Bear Arms Without Infringement Act,” proposed by State Senator Nathan Dahm, would allow citizens over the age of 18 to openly carry loaded or unloaded guns without the need for a license. The bill would include military or law enforcement functions, practice or performance for entertainment purposes, and lawful self-defense situations.   Continue reading “New Gun-Rights Bill Angers Namesake Piers Morgan”

The United States Customs and Border Protection has grounded an entire fleet of drones, the agency admitted on Tuesday, after a mechanical function the night before forced a crew to crash an unmanned aircraft valued at $12 million.

A spokesperson for the CBP said in a statement Tuesday that the drone, a maritime variant of the Predator B, was deliberately crashed into the Pacific Ocean near San Diego, California after it encountered problems shortly after 11 p.m. local time late Monday.   Continue reading “US Customs grounds drone fleet after $12 million unmanned aircraft crashes off of California”

Scientists have reconstructed the genome of the first recorded bubonic plague and compared it to two later pandemics. New sophisticated strains of the disease that killed millions of Europeans in the Middle Ages could break out in future, they warn.

Researchers have managed to extract the DNA from the teeth of two victims of the Plague of Justinian, a pandemic that swept through the Byzantine Empire in AD 541-542, found in an early medieval cemetery in German Bavaria, according to a study published Tuesday by The Lancet Infectious Diseases.   Continue reading “Scientists find DNA of first-ever bubonic plague, warn of new outbreaks”

Stand Your GroundAmmoLand

USA – -(Ammoland.com)- This is a great question because there is so much confusion around both these terms.

Much of the confusion stems from the fact that although both of these terms have a narrow, technically-correct meaning they have also been commonly used to refer to other aspects of self-defense law beyond these core meanings.   Continue reading “Much Confusion Around Both Stand-Your-Ground & Castle Doctrine”

AURORA, Ill. (AP) — Down the road from an emergency food pantry where a small crowd waits for the chance to gather free groceries, there is a church sign that reads: “If you need help, ask God. If you don’t, thank God.”

Debbie Jurcak, one of those in line, will tell you that it is indeed divine help — or, anyway, faith-based organizations — that she and her family have relied on in recent weeks. Late last month, the federal government ended her unemployment benefits, six months after she was laid off from an administrative job.   Continue reading “‘Long-term unemployment’ _ one mom’s story”

Connecticut –-(Ammoland.com)- In, yet, another flimsy case, brought and prosecuted by the State of Connecticut, the State is, once again, refusing to drop charges against a Connecticut citizen because of the fact that he owns firearms.

Mr. Morgan, a long time collector of firearms, owns quite an extensive collection of firearms, including machine guns. The charges against Mr. Morgan were based on allegations of a physical altercation that had nothing to do with firearms. The entire incident was apparently so negligible that the accusers took 15 hours to report the incident to police. Despite these facts, the judge and prosecutor have made Morgan’s firearms a central aspect of the case.   Continue reading “Perverted Justice: CT State Continues Prosecution despite Trooper’s Forced Resignation”

Have you ever thought about how you are going to get clean if anything happens in the world? Well I have done a ton of thinking about it and from what I have come across is that soap is bloody expensive. Things like laundry soap which I wrote a blog on making your very own soap which has been plastered all over the internet before but it really does save you money and there is a HUGE benefit to not having extra chemicals floating around in your stuff but what about your body?   Continue reading “Making Soap At Home!”

TABU – by Jamie Lee

“We are not speaking of education in the narrower sense, but of that other education in virtue from youth upwards, which makes a man eagerly pursue the ideal perfection of citizenship, and teaches him how rightly to rule and how  to obey. This is the only education which, upon our view, deserves the name; that other sort of training, which aims at the acquisition of wealth or bodily strength, or mere cleverness apart from intelligence and justice, is mean and illiberal, and is not worthy to be called education at all.”   Continue reading “Common Core: The Business Side of the New Modern Global Education System”

Activist Post – by Derrick Broze

The battle between a free press and the State has been ongoing since the first days of the printing press. The notion that the citizenry could keep tabs on officials and report back to their respective communities revolutionized the master/servant relationship. For once the people were not doomed to remain ignorant while politicians, and royalty robbed them blind and deaf. Awareness was allowed to grow and swell until bursting into a new era of an informed, educated, and active populace.

This development, however, was not viewed fondly by the established ruling class around the globe. Some States completely destroyed the idea of a free press by merging the government with the media. Others simply worked with corporations to monopolize and direct the information reported on by the media. Beyond media manipulation the free press has also been subject to more direct attacks on journalists, and news organizations.   Continue reading “The War on Journalism: Local to Federal”

NEW YORK – It was in last year’s State of the Union address that President Obama announced an ambitious trade agreement negotiated behind closed doors with North American and Pacific Rim nations – the Trans-Pacific Partnership – that drew little attention.

Now, ahead of tonight’s State of the Union address, Secretary of State John Kerry has presented evidence that a plan originating with the George W. Bush administration to evolve NAFTA into a European Union-style confederation in North America between the U.S., Mexico and Canada has been put into overdrive with the Obama administration’s effort to obtain “fast track authority” to rush the Trans-Pacific Partnership through Congress with limited debate.   Continue reading “Kerry signals advance of ‘North American Union’ plan”

U.S. history doesn’t make the grade at the nation’s elite liberal arts colleges, where students can dodge classes on America’s founding by studying electronic dance, movie animation and, at one school, a course on “The Rhetoric of Alien Abduction,” a new report finds.

The report — “Education or Reputation?: A Look at America’s Top-Ranked Liberal Arts Colleges” — found that within those top 29 colleges, not a single institution except for three military academies requires a “foundational, college-level course” in American history or government.   Continue reading “America’s top liberal arts schools skip U.S. history, report finds”

PodestaCNS News – by Susan Jones

President Obama has “warmed up” to using executive authority, and when he believes “he has the authority” to “make progress” without action by Congress, he will do it, White House adviser John Podesta told NPR Tuesday morning.

“But he doesn’t like to do this, does he?” the NPR host asked Podesta.

“Uh, I think he’s warmed up to it,” Podesta replied, laughing.   Continue reading “Podesta: Obama’s ‘Warmed Up’ to Executive Action; Will Use It for ‘Climate Change and Energy Transformation Agenda’”
