Russia gold buying returned in January with the Russian central bank buying a very large 1 million ounces or 37 metric tonnes of gold bullion.

The increase in the gold reserves came after Russia did not buy a single ounce in December – a move seen as potentially a signal or an olive branch to the U.S. and the incoming Trump administration.   Continue reading “Putin Gold Buying Is Back – Buys One Million Ounces In January”

The Intercept has a fantastic write-up from front to back on how to create and maintain an anonymous Twitter account.

A lot of folks prefer not to use social media at all, and that’s fine.  For those staying completely under radar (as in, not posting anywhere), that’s no big deal. For those who understand the principles of propaganda and information operations, however, this is excellent information. Run several of them.   Continue reading “How to Run an Anonymous Account on Twitter”

Canadian police said on Monday they had bolstered their presence at the Quebec border and that border authorities had created a temporary refugee center to process a growing number of asylum seekers crossing from the United States.

The Canada Border Services Agency, or CBSA, said at a news conference that it had converted an unused basement into a refugee claimant processing center. Both the border agency and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police are reassigning staff from other locations in the province, as needed, to accommodate rising demand.   Continue reading “Refugee claimants from U.S. strain Canada’s border resources”

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Tuesday released details on how it will prosecute undocumented immigrants and criminal immigrants.

In two memos, Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly repealed all guidance given to immigration enforcement officers by the Obama administration, save for those relating to undocumented immigrants brought to the United States as children.   Continue reading “DHS releases new immigration rules”

Oil prices are stuck in a holding pattern, waiting for more definitive data on what comes next. OPEC compliance is helping keep prices afloat, but rising US oil production is acting as a counterweight.

A new problem that has suddenly emerged is the record levels of gasoline sitting in storage. The market has already had to digest the fact that US crude oil stocks were rising, and investors have done their best to explain away the trend. But now gasoline inventories are climbing to unexpected heights.   Continue reading “Biggest gasoline glut in 27 years could crash oil markets”

NEW YORK (AP) — Russia’s ambassador to the United Nations, a veteran diplomat known as a potent, savvy yet personable voice for his country’s interests who could both spar and get along with his Western counterparts, died suddenly Monday after falling ill in his office at Russia’s U.N. mission.

Vitaly Churkin was taken to a hospital, where he died a day before his 65th birthday, said Russia’s deputy U.N. ambassador, Vladimir Safronkov. The cause of his death was unknown. As Russia’s envoy at the United Nations since 2006 and a diplomat for decades, Churkin was considered Moscow’s great champion at the U.N., where he was the longest-serving ambassador on the powerful Security Council.   Continue reading “Russia’s ambassador to United Nations falls ill, dies at 64”

TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — An Israeli military court on Tuesday sentenced a soldier to 18 months in prison for his deadly shooting of a Palestinian attacker who lay wounded on the ground, capping a nearly yearlong saga that has deeply divided the country.

The sentence, which included a year’s probation and a demotion in rank, was lighter than expected. Prosecutors had asked for a prison term of three to five years. Palestinians dismissed the sentence as a “joke.”   Continue reading “Israeli court gives soldier 18 months for fatal shooting”

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A federal appeals plans to consider arguments over the constitutionality of Ohio’s lethal injection process as the state tries to start carrying out executions once again. At issue is whether a contested sedative, midazolam, is powerful enough to put inmates into a deep state of unconsciousness before two subsequent drugs paralyze them and stop their hearts.

A related issue is whether Ohio has a realistic chance of finding an alternative drug — a barbiturate called pentobarbital — that once was widely used in executions but has become difficult or, in Ohio’s case, impossible to obtain.   Continue reading “Court considers constitutionality of Ohio execution process”

The great American Police State has outdone itself! America already has public transit police, hospital police, campus and high school police and now you can add ‘church’ police to the list.

According to an article in Alabama.com the Briarwood Presbyterian Church and Briarwood Christian School wants to have it’s own police force. HB 45 would allow religious centers to hire their own police force, HB 45 would also make it a hate crime to criticize first responders.   Continue reading “‘Church’ police could arrest kids who claim they were sexually abused”

SINGAPORE/HOUSTON, Feb 20 (Reuters) – Chinese independent, or teapot, refiners are bringing in rare cargoes of North American heavy crude in a new long-distance flow that traders say has only been made possible by OPEC’s output cuts and ample supplies in Canada and the United States.

In April, at least 1 million barrels of the heavy crude Mars, pumped from the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, are expected to land in China’s Shandong province and 1 million barrels of a second unidentified heavy grade will arrive in China, trade and shipping sources said last week. This follows the arrival in January of 600,000 barrels of U.S. Gulf Blend, a heavy crude made up of a blend of various U.S. and Canadian grades loaded onto ships on the U.S. Gulf Coast, according to the sources and shipping data.   Continue reading “Chinese refiners splurge on North American heavy crude”

WEB Notes: I remember at one point in time it was a very rare moment to hear a world leader call for “a new world order”. Now it is so common we think nothing of it. Psychology.

In 2015 world leaders were jumping all over themselves calling for the world to unite. It is a growing trend that will continue as we move forward.

Russia wants global leaders to embrace a new world order where the U.S. and other western nations are not calling the shots, but rather sovereign nations will follow international law based on its national interests. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Moscow was seeking closer with Washington while also refusing to cower to the NATO militant alliance led by the U.S.   Continue reading “Russia Calls For New World Order As NATO Sends Troops To The Baltics And Poland”

The Supreme Court on Tuesday is taking up a case that presents a critical question of law: Can a U.S. law enforcement officer be sued in American courts for the death of a foreigner outside the United States?

For most of American history, the answer to that question has been a clear and emphatic “no.” Courts for two centuries have held that constitutional rights do not apply to foreigners with no voluntary connection to the United States.   Continue reading “Supremes to Decide if Foreigners Have Constitutional Rights”

The triumph of Donald Trump as the champion of a revolution against the status quo assures huge economic changes in the coming year, which I’ll list below. His victory struck a shocking upset to the globalists who have steered the last sixty or more years of world history, as I reported in an earlier story about George Soros mourning over the damage Trump will bring to global governance by unelected elitists.

For a short time, we should see some improvements. However, numerous structural flaws in the US economy ultimately assure economic collapse because those flaws have not been dealt with for decades, are not being dealt with in any of the Donald’s plans, and are most likely too far gone now to ever deal with. Trump’s plan will even make some of those structural flaws much worse in the long run.   Continue reading “The Trump Triumph Changes Economic Predictions for 2017”

President Trump on Monday named Army Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster as his new national security adviser, replacing the ousted Michael Flynn — a move meant to help put the White House on firmer footing after missteps on multiple fronts.

Trump called McMaster “a man of tremendous talent and tremendous experience” while briefly introducing him to reporters at the president’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida before returning to Washington.   Continue reading “Trump taps Army Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster as his new national security adviser”

For the second time in two weeks, members of a church on the south side of Indianapolis have found their Jesus statue vandalized, giving it the appearance of being beheaded.

“It makes me sad that somebody would do something like that,” said Pastor Brad Flaskamp. “I was hoping it was just a random act to destroy it in the first place.”   Continue reading “Indiana church’s Jesus statue beheaded twice in two weeks”

Serpents have been worshipped as gods for a long time. The Aztecs in Mexico, the ancient Egyptians, and more have venerated the serpent. The people of Nashville, Tennessee built an exact replica of the Temple of Athena (also known as Diana), and 100 years later they unveiled the 42-foot tall statue of Athena at the altar. On her wrist is a serpent and at her feet is another. Will people travel to this temple and worship Athena? What did the city government of San Jose, California have erected? Is there a serpent in a mural at the George Washington National Masonic Monument? The answers to these questions and much more are on this week’s explosive program, The Serpents In Our Midst.   Continue reading “The Serpents In Our Midst”

Common Dreams – by Paul Bucheit

Yes, inequality is getting worse every year. In early 2016 Oxfam reported that just 62 individuals had the same wealth as the bottom half of humanity. About a year later Oxfam reported that just 8 men had the same wealth as the world’s bottom half. Based on the same methodology and data sources used by Oxfam, that number is now down to 6.

How to account for the dramatic increase in the most flagrant and perverse of extreme inequalities? Two well-documented reasons: (1) The poorest half (and more) of the world has continued to lose wealth; and (2) The VERY richest individuals — especially the top thousand or so — continue to add billions of dollars to their massive fortunes.    Continue reading “Morbid Inequality: Now Just SIX Men Have as Much Wealth as Half the World’s Population”

In the wake of 11 new threats today against Jewish centers, from New York to New Mexico, the FBI said it is investigating, along with the Department of Justice, bomb threats to the centers across the country.

Federal authorities are looking into threats communicated to at least 60 Jewish centers around the country this year. The threats started in January and the FBI began investigating later that same month. The threats have come in “different waves,” with more threats phoned in to centers today, according to one source familiar with the matter.  Continue reading “More than 60 threats to Jewish centers across the US, authorities investigating”
