A government watchdog withheld at least 14 reports that revealed department-wide problems that allow fraud and waste at a cabinet-level agency, The Daily Caller News Foundation’s (TheDCNF) Investigative Group has learned.

The reports concern issues plaguing the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), including felons illegally living in federally-funded homes, tax fraud and millions of dollars sitting in unused bank accounts for years. As he does every morning, Texas County dairy farmer Jared Blackwelder started milking his cows around 4 a.m. Saturday. He finished up just before daylight and headed back to the barn. He was about to lock the gate when lightning struck hard and close.

“It was so bright I couldn’t hardly see,” he said. “It just brought fire down the fences.”

Later in the day when it was time to milk again, Blackwelder returned to the field and found 32 of his certified organic cows dead.   Continue reading “Lightning strike kills 32 cows near Cabool”

By the slimmest of margins, the House of Representatives passed the Republican plan to replace Obamacare Thursday afternoon, sending the measure to a skeptical Senate where it would be almost certain to take on a completely different form. Republicans passed the bill by a vote of 217 to 213, just one vote over the 216 needed.

Republicans had been working to piece together a GOP-only coalition of votes ever since their attempt to repeal and replace much of the Affordable Care Act failed nearly two months ago and came into the vote with just 21 votes to spare.   Continue reading “House Narrowly Passes GOP Health Care Bill”

Just days after news emerged President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago guests witnessed “after dinner entertainment” in his rash decision to launch missiles into Syria in response to an alleged, but as yet unproven, chemical attack on Syrian civilians by President Bashar al-Assad, reports are emerging another a false flag chemical attack has been staged and filmed in Syria — for a possible second time.

An unnamed and unverified “military and diplomatic source” told State-run Sputnik a fabricated chemical weapons attack has been filmed by State-run Al Jazeera News — with dozens of civilian and emergency personnel participating in the staged-for-video event.  Continue reading “Bodies of 23 Dead Kids Allegedly Stolen for Use in Film of False Flag Chemical Attack in Syria”

Last week, we wondered if major airlines were in some kind of twisted competition to see which could treat passengers the worst.

And, yesterday we reported that Delta – the airline that recently kicked a man off a flight because he dared to get up to use the restroom – was bumped up a notch in the rankings because an employee was caught on camera smacking a phone out of a kid’s hand.  Continue reading “Family Refuses to Give Up Toddler’s Seat on Delta Flight and are Threatened With Jail and Kids Being Taken”

A woman who laughed during Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ congressional confirmation hearings has been prosecuted and could serve up to one year in prison. Desiree Fairooz, along with two other activists, attended the hearing in January dressed as a Ku Klux Klan member.

Early in the hearing, Alabama Senator Richard Shelby remarked that Sessions’ record of “treating all Americans equally under the law is clear and well documented.” This drew scoffing laughter from three activists from women’s rights activist organization Code Pink, who jurors say disrupted the hearing as they were arrested and escorted out of the chamber.   Continue reading ““Freedom” of Speech: Woman Faces Year in Prison After Laughing at Jeff Sessions”

Two GOP legislators are introducing legislation to let states annually import 500,000 foreign blue-collar workers and white-collar professionals to replace Americans who have fallen out of the workforce and into drug addiction.

The American replacement bill is needed because companies can’t hire the employees they want amid the massive decline in the number of Americans who are seeking work, Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson told an event hosted Wednesday by the CATO Institute.   Continue reading “Two GOP Legislators Propose American Replacement Bill, Plus Amnesty”

A pretrial status conference for one of the 155 bikers indicted in a deadly May 2015 shootout turned contentious Wednesday as attorneys argued how evidence from a federal investigation of the Bandidos biker group might affect Twin Peaks prosecutions in McLennan County.

Houston attorney Casie Gotro sparred with McLennan County District Attorney Abel Reyna and his top assistant, Michael Jarrett, on Wednesday morning during a hearing in the case of Christopher Jacob Carrizal, a Bandido from Dallas.

President Trump announced Thursday he will visit Saudi Arabia, Israel and the Vatican during his first foreign trip as president later this month.

Trump and his aides said the decision to visit the centers of three of the world’s major faiths is meant to rally allies and partners in the fight against shared security threats in the Middle East.   Continue reading “Trump to visit Israel, Saudi Arabia, Vatican in first foreign trip”

Successful Farming – by Chuck Abbott

Blizzard conditions and heavy snow swept western Kansas, including 14 to 20 inches in Colby in the northwestern quadrant of the No. 1 winter wheat state in the nation, said the Weather Channel. “We lost the western Kansas wheat crop this weekend. Just terrible,” tweeted Justin Gilpin, chief executive of the grower-funded Kansas Wheat Commission.

The snow and freezing weather struck a winter wheat crop that was developing faster than usual, thanks to a mild winter. As a result, the crop was more vulnerable to spring snowfalls and frost. “Generally, temps below 32°F. for a minimum of about two hours will cause damage to the crop,” says the Kansas Wheat Commission. “Freeze injury during heading and flowering stages can cause severe yield consequences.” A quarter of the wheat crop was headed as of April 23, compared with the five-year average of 17%.   Continue reading “‘We Lost the Western Kansas Wheat Crop This Weekend’”

Last week, a North Carolina barbecue joint found itself in the crosshairs of a Raleigh police union and, by extension, police supporters as a whole after employees supposedly disrespected officers dining. Guess what? The union pretty much made up the whole thing.

Washington, 3 May (Argus) — Republicans in the US House of Representatives are dusting off energy bills that died last year as they make a fresh attempt to expedite a permitting process for natural gas and oil pipelines they say takes too long.

The bills under consideration include similar language included in legislation the House passed last year but that never became law. President Donald Trump has pushed to accelerate pipeline approvals, but Republicans view their bills as a more permanent fix to what they consider to be a flawed permitting process and avoid the types of issues that delayed the 830,000 b/d Keystone XL pipeline.   Continue reading “US House looks to expedite pipeline permitting”

On a separate note Palestinian leader Abbas stated,

“Our strategic choice is to bring about peace based on the vision of the two-state [solution], a Palestinian state with its capital of East Jerusalem that lives in peace and stability with the state of Israel based on the border of 1967,” he said, referring to the borders before the Arab-Israeli war that year.

The Great Recession

Trump’s supporters are increasingly alarmed, outspoken and feeling betrayed as their champion rolls over and plays lap dog for the political establishment. Even Rush Limbaugh, Trump’s golfing buddy and longtime advocate, said this week that what is happening with Trump and the Republicans is a “sellout” and “betrayal.”

With the US economy sinking in the first quarter toward the netherlands of recession (GDP growth of 0.7%), my prediction that the the economy will really start to fall apart in the early summer — in spite of Trump’s victory and the Trump Rally in stocks — looks increasingly likely with each passing week. Meanwhile my warning last year that Trump would likely prove to be a Trojan horse for the establishment is, as of this week, finally proven. Consider the following analysis of Trump’s acquiescence to every failure of his purported agenda:   Continue reading “Did Trump Get Thumped … or Supporters Get Dumped?”
