Activist Post – by Brandon Turbeville

U.S. President Donald Trump has now signed into law what may be considered one of the most insane pieces of legislation ever to come out of the U.S. Congress. While the law itself will not result in major direct actions in terms of immediately attributable effect, it will have far reaching repercussions both at home and abroad. The law, passed almost unanimously in both the House and Senate had sat for days on Trump’s desk awaiting the President’s signature.

The bill is aimed at a number of Russian industries and also takes aim at foreign banks that do business with North Korea. The bill contains a number of provisions implementing sanctions against Iran as well. It also restricts the President’s ability to tamper with the sanctions regime once it is put in place.   Continue reading “Trump Signs Russia Sanctions Bill, World At A Dangerous Point As Deep State Shows Their Teeth”

On August 9, 1945 on the day the second atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki, president Truman, in a radio address to the American people, concluded that God is on the side of America with regards to the use of nuclear weapons and that “He May guide us to use it [nuclear weapons] in His ways and His purposes”. A somewhat contradictory discourse which seems embedded in US nuclear doctrine.

According to Truman: God is with us, he will decide if and when to use the bomb:   Continue reading “God is on the Side of Us Americans. “He May Guide Us to Use It [Nuclear Weapons] In His Ways and for His Purposes””

WEB Notes: Right off the bat the new US administration made it obvious their goal would be to attack Iran at some point. We are still waiting for that, but the signs are becoming clearer by the day. Trump just issued sanctions against the IRGC and despite Iran being compliant recently stated Iran could be declared non-compliant even though they are compliant with the nuclear deal. Confused? You should be.

Then we have the unforgettable headlines from earlier this year… Continue reading “Why Killing The Iran Deal Could Start The Next War In The Middle East”

WEB Notes: I do not care where you stand on the “isle”; left, right or in-between. This is not okay. These Senators are slime, period. Do not go telling me that is not nice talk. These people are trying to take away your right to protest and you are concerned with nice talk? How about truth? Here is the list of so called Senators, ensure you vote them out. We all have a right to boycott and protest whoever it is we want to protest, that is called “Freedom”.

In 1966, the NAACP of Claiborne County, Mississippi launched a boycott of several white-owned local businesses on the basis of racial discrimination.   Continue reading “Nearly 50 Senators Want To Make It A Felony To Boycott Israel”

Cocky “Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli drew a weird parallel between jail and 9/11 Saturday, saying living through the terrorist attacks would prepare him for a stint in the slammer.

“A few months of jail doesn’t scare me. I saw 9/11,” Shkreli, 34, strangely bragged to a Boston Herald reporter while live-streaming on YouTube.

Shkreli was 18 years old at the time of the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.  Continue reading “‘Pharma Bro’ says witnessing 9/11 prepared him for jail”

Monsanto is facing over 100 lawsuits in a Federal district court in San Francisco brought by people who attribute their non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma to exposure to glyphosate in Monsanto’s Roundup weed-killer, and as part of the discovery process, it submitted internal documents to the court that detailed shenanigans in the company’s internal science and its dealings with regulators and the press.

Then Monsanto’s lawyers neglected to a motion seeking continued protection of the confidential documents, believing that a “a standing confidentiality order” was in place, something that the plaintiff’s lawyers disagree with, which is why they released a huge tranche of damning memos.  Continue reading “Monsanto’s lawyers forgot to ask a court to suppress damning evidence about cancer and corrupt science”

very unique USAF surveillance aircraft has been flying highly defined circles over Seattle and its various suburbs for nine days now. Nobody at the DoD seems to know who the aircraft belongs to or what exactly it is doing flying so many missions over the Seattle area. But based on its visibly exotic configuration, and information collected by open source flight tracking websites, we can get a good idea of its capabilities and guess as to what it’s up to.

The aircraft, which goes by the callsign “SPUD21” and wears a nondescript flat gray paint job with the only visible markings being a USAF serial on its tail, is a CASA CN-235-300 transport aircraft that has been extensively modified for the surveillance mission. You can see more pictures of the aircraft here.

New Mexico — A small community in New Mexico is learning firsthand the consequences of relying on corporate industry to fuel your economy. In the case of Torrance County, it’s the private prison industry. From a July 25 article by the Santa Fe New Mexican:

“The company that has operated a private prison in Estancia for nearly three decades has announced it will close the Torrance County Detention Facility and lay off more than 200 employees unless it can find 300 state or federal inmates to fill empty beds within the next 60 days, according to a statement issued Tuesday by county officials.”   Continue reading “Private Prison Demands Small Town Give It 300 More Prisoners or It Will Close Down”

The Great Recession

One reason I started my own economics blog was because of how tired I was of reading government-regurgitated half truths about the economy. Nothing has changed. As Newsmax and other publications report this week that July was a bumper month for lower-wage earners, I continue to have to sift for myself through all the glitter to find the globs of buried ugly truths. First, the DayGlo report:   Continue reading “Continue to Beware the Job Numbers (Is it the Bureau of Labor Statistics or Bureau of Lying Statistics?)”
