CANBERRA, Australia (AP) — A gunman who killed a man and took a woman hostage before dying in a police shootout had been acquitted of plotting a terror attack at a Sydney army base years earlier, police said Tuesday. Three police officers were wounded.

The siege Monday at an apartment building in a Melbourne suburb was being treated as an act of terror, but Victoria state Police Chief Commissioner Graham Ashton said the gunman appeared to have acted alone and not as part of any ongoing plot or threat.   Continue reading “Hostage-taker in Australia had been acquitted of terror plot”

An invasive form of malware believed to be attached to a Chinese firm could spell “global catastrophe,” according to the cybersecurity firm that discovered it. The software has the power to gain near-complete control of targets, including spying on files.

Dubbed Fireball, the malware was found by researchers at Check Point Security. The team said its purpose is to hijack web traffic to generate fraudulent ad revenue. It also includes remote control features for downloading more malware in the future.   Continue reading “Malware infecting 250 million devices could be a ‘catastrophe’”

It’s not just the FBI that can’t seem to turn in its privacy-related paperwork on time. The FBI has pushed forward with its biometric database rollout — despite the database being inaccurate, heavily-populated with non-criminals, and without the statutorily-required Privacy Impact Assessment that’s supposed to accompany it. As of 2014, it hadn’t produced this PIA, one it had promised in 2012. And one that applied to a system that had been in the works since 2008.   Continue reading “DEA Deploying Powerful Spyware Without Required Privacy Impact Assessments”

SHTF Plan – by Mac Slavo

People who support gun control often argue that it would be disastrous if everyone was walking around with a gun at all times. They fear that it would make firearm accidents more likely, and in the event that a robber or a mass shooter is on the loose, there would be a chaotic hail of gunfire from all directions.

It’s a silly argument to make, considering that even in states where there are loose gun laws, and where it is easy to obtain a concealed carry permit, only a minority of citizens carry guns at all times. But for the sake of argument, what would happen if everyone was armed in the vicinity of a violent criminal?   Continue reading “This Thug Tries To Rob A Store Where Every Customer Is Armed”

Watch Obama EPA chief Gina McCarthy Testify to Congress: ‘The value of this rule is not measured in that way. (Temperature impact) It is measured in showing strong domestic action which can actually trigger global action to address what’s a necessary action to protect…I’m not disagreeing that this action in and of itself will not make all the difference we need to address climate action, but what I’m saying is that if we don’t take action domestically we will never get started and we’ll never…’

Judges are humiliated and dehumanized whenever they must enforce the nation’s immigration laws, according to a senior judge on the far-left Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

The judge’s cry of outrage came when he could not block the orderly repatriation of an illegal immigrant who has two drunk driving convictions, plus a U.S. wife and three children.   Continue reading “DHS Officers Humiliate Judges by Enforcing Immigration Laws, Declares Judge”

WASHINGTON — President Trump announced Monday he would push to privatize the nation’s air traffic control system as part of a broader plan to pump more funding into American infrastructure.

In an East Room ceremony, Trump said he would ask Congress to transfer control of air traffic control operations from the Federal Aviation Administration to a private, nonprofit entity. The corporation’s board would be made up of airline, government and union personnel. He argued that this would increase the efficiency of an antiquated system.  Continue reading “Trump rolls out plan to privatize U.S. air traffic control system”

Sent to us by Bob from Wisconsin.

I just got back from Grafton Wisconsin, today June 5th 2017 @12:15 pm. I met with the director of the USS Liberty Memorial Public Library.

The same director that said I could set up a table in the Memorial room two weeks ago.

Now he says I can’t do that. The excuse being he would only allow information from certain parties, coincidentally not the ones I have information from. That’s what I figured would happen.   Continue reading “Not allowed a table at USS Liberty Memorial Public Library”

I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying. You found it hard to sleep.
I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear,
“It’s me, I haven’t left you, I’m well, I’m fine, I’m here.”
I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea,
You were thinking of the many times your hands reached down to me.  Continue reading “Missing You (for Spike Timmons)”

Once the talk of conspiracy theorists — the rich ingesting the blood of the young to foster longevity — is now a reality and an actual business in the United States. Not only is it a business but billionaires are actually admitting their interest in it.

“I’m looking into parabiosis stuff, which I think is really interesting. This is where they did the young blood into older mice and they found that had a massive rejuvenating effect,” Peter Thiel, the billionaire co-founder of PayPal and adviser to Donald Trump told Inc. magazine. “I think there are a lot of these things that have been strangely under-explored.”  Continue reading “No Longer a Conspiracy Theory: Elite Openly Paying to Ingest the Blood of the Young”

The Economic Collapse – by Michael Snyder

Did you know that the number of working age Americans that do not have a job right now is far higher than it was during the worst moments of the last recession?  For example, in January 2009 92.6 million working age Americans did not have a job, but we just found out that in May the number of working age Americans without a job increased to just a shade under 102 million.  We’ll go over those numbers in more detail in a moment, but first I want to talk a bit about the difference between perception and reality.  According to the bureaucrats in the federal government, the “unemployment rate” in May was the lowest that we have seen in 16 years.  At just “4.3 percent”, we are essentially at “full employment”, and so according to them anyone that really wants a job should be able to find one pretty easily.   Continue reading “The Real Unemployment Number: 102 Million Working Age Americans Do Not Have A Job”

MONTERREY, Nuevo Leon —  A faction of Los Zetas drug cartel used the bodies of their victims to deliver a message to authorities and their rivals in a suburb of this metropolitan area.
